Work out what's best for you with regard to the cash-flow. Then either hold them to the original t&c you actually signed up to or go with whatever they are now saying if it's better (provided they put their latest version in writing).

If you took the contract out in September, your fourth bill is your January one.

If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing them from the website :)

Hi, the pack I received from OSPS 6 months ago saying that I only need to send them copy of the bill for cashback. I worked with the first one but now I am claiming the second one and they sent me a letter saying that they needed the original bill. I have tried to contact them through a couple of number 0871 423 0404 , 0845 4567878, 01270 504400 but they all automactially reply that 'the office is closed'. Do anybody how to contact them to explain ny situation? Thanks very much.

E2Saves were closed yesterday afternoon, they reopen on Monday so try then

I got a letter yestterday telling me that my cashback claim was received too early, and thus declined. My email confirmation when I took out the contract told me to send the 4th, 6th, 8th 10th and 12th bills. The contract was O2 via Carphone Warehouse, and states at the top the number of the bill, so I know I sent the correct one (which I have copies of, thankfully). The bill was dated 4th December, with the payment being made 18th December. The bill was sent Special Delivery, and the customer service rep I spoke to confirmed they received it on 20th December.

Unfortunately their cashback claims dept had suffered a huge technical failure yesterday, so will be offline until Monday morning. I got the customer service guy, who was very helpful to his credit, to note the delivery dates and my query on my file. I then emailed the company from their help pages and through the chashback claims link they provide, including a copy of my original email detailing the bills to send, and all of the details that I mentioned above, and what the rep told me.

Where do I go from here? Obviously I will speak to them on Monday, but is there anything else I should be aware of? Does this sort of thing happen a lot, and if so is it usually amicably resolved? Are e2save in the habit of changing the terms of cashback claim contracts without even informing the customer (which I am certain is illegal. Once a contract is agreed it should be upheld and not altered without agreement by both parties)?

I'm hoping its a technical error, but would appreciate advice on how to proceed if they fail to accept their mistake on this occasion.

    Many thanks in advance.

It's obvious you haven't bothered reading this and the other numerous threads on E2Save/cpw/Onestopphoneshop. Good luck - you're definitely on who's going to need it unless they do a LOT of research on here. Of course, you could rely on what those "helpful" people at E2Save tell you... Or you could read the advice on here and make sure you get your money. As they say - the choice is yours!

You're right. I should have read a bit first and saved spamming the board with uninformed rantings. I've done a bit more research and think I have a better grasp of things now.

My cashback claim info on the e2save website stated that for my first claim I should:
"Send month 4 claim between 26th Dec 2007 and 25th Jan 2008"and that:" i.e. if you purchased on the 1st of January, you need to send in the bill that is dated around the 1st of May, and you will have until the 30th of May to do so. This is 120 days (4 months) after connection."

From what other people seem to have experienced, this should actually be the fifth bill that I receive, not the fourth (I receive my bills dated on the 4th of each month, and my connection was 28th August. Hence the first bill I would receive after 4 months connection would be that of 4th January, which I would need to send to the cashback claims dept prior to 25th January.

If anyone could correct this if wrong I would be grateful. Also, does anyone know if e2save accept print-outs of their vouchers (which they advertise for download both on their site and email correspondences). The vouchers say that faxes and photocopies of the vouchers are not accepted, but equally why would the vouchers be available for download if they were not acceptable in cashback claims? Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I have looked and can't seem to find it.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

It depends what set of terms you are going by. I know it's a big thread but read through the last 20 pages on here. Also mobilejunkie posted a great thread explaining absolutely everything. The link is somewhere in this thread, around page 28 I think.

The easiest way of working it out. Firstly, forget bill numbers. If you go via the legal terms:

    Connection Date + 120 days = 1st Claim date.

Then you send the bill dated after that date. So for example:

    Connection Date: 24th May 2007
    1st Claim Date: 21st September 2007

You get your bills on the 3rd of each month, and they are dated 28th of the previous month.

So you'd send the bill dated September 28th, which you receive on the 3rd October.

On a price-match deal the forms which came with the phone should be identical to the downloaded ones (but slightly better quality). There should be 6 vouchers and provided they are the same and so is the address you can use the ones with the phone. you STILL need to know what to PUT on line 2 - that's on here somewhere too.
