I've just joined this forum, and mainly because of this thread! I started my own "read all the books I own" challenge back in February, which worked well! I seem to have gone a little off-track lately though, which isn't so good. So I would love to join this challenge :-)
At the moment, I'm reading All Souls by Javier Marias, and it's not too brilliant. All the reviews for it when it came out claimed it was really funny, but I'm not seeing it. I'll be glad to finish it!0 -

And I hate it when a book is supposed to be 'brillant' and really isn't.Hope it's over soon and that you move onto something more enjoyable.

MrsG - www.readitswapit.co.uk - swap your old books for ones you haven't read!!
Lucy Lemon - welcome! I'm Lucy too - is your piccy from the Munch Bunch or whatever it was called? I thought it was Lucy Leek?
I'm still cracking on with A Concie Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers, really enjoying it, but made the mistake of giving my OH one of my old Spanish textbooks as he wants to learn, so all my reading time is disturbed by "Como te llamas?" ... "Soy profesora..." "Sally es un gato gordo" etc etc etcWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
finished where or when. so thats another off the list. started friday nights by joanne trollope last night but this wont really count as i picked it up off the shelf in the drs last time i was there, need to return it to them once ive read it so its not technically one of mine. tried to offer them some of my read books but they said the library puts the books in and they have been asked not to add any.SPC~12 ot 124

To be honest, I have no idea! I've had it on my computer for ages and ages.
Finally finished All Souls, and have also finished The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul by Douglas Adams today. Although it's my boyfriend's book, so I can't give it away!0 -
Here is Lucy Leek who I was thinking of...
It was Garden Gang not Munch BunchWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
My "to read" pile is increasing but I havent spent any money!!
Borrowed three books from library:
Hotel on the Corner of Bitter & Sweet by Jamie Ford, just started, very good so far, its about the relationship between a Chinese boy and a Japanese girl in Seattle around the time of Pearl Harbour.
Thin Blue Smoke by Doug Worgul
The Story Sisters by Alice Hoffman
Both look and sound good - will report in due course!
Then my Dad gave me a couple from his pile - two James Pattersons - Violets are Blue and Four Blind Mice. Its ages since I read any of his books - I used to really like them!
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0
