Pickle, can I join your merry band of bibliophiles?
What are you asking permission for? Just jump on board like everyone else!
And I quite like crime fiction myself. I have a lot of time for Ian Rankin. Have you read any?
Am currently on 'The Count of Monte Cristo', but haven't read any in a few weeks.I was doing so well as well. I WILL do better...

I have read loads of Ian Rankin - it's fun reading his books because I live in Edinburgh and normally know the locations where the murders happen
Off to work today with "The Children's Book" by A.S Byatt which I bought for no other reason than because it was cheap0 -

Oh behave. It's only good cos of all the people who have joined in. If it was just me wittering about how I've read another ten pages of 'The Count of Monte Cristo', it would be rubbish! You guys make it cool, and I'm totally appreciating the book reviews for further recommendations.

Hi everyone, Can I just check with you all that you have thought about income generation on the DooYoo website by reviewing the books you've read? I've cashed in 4 x £50 (yes, £200) since October last year!
That's a brilliant idea, Katy, and very MSE! :rotfl: I may have to start doing that. :cool:Please call me 'Pickle'

Currently reading Victoria Hislop's The Island which is wonderful, I loved The Return and this is looking like being even better - although very much along the same lines. Also reading Night Train to Lisbon by Pascal Mercier still but have lost interest in it. My bedtime reading book is Love and Devotion by Erica James which was on it's way to the charity shop by my friend but I intercepted it. It's not bad but very chick-lit.
Also, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephanie Meyer should be arriving this week so I'm looking forward to reading that.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Yes! I loved this book, it is beautiful, really touching and I learned a lot about Leprosy I didn't know. Such brave people to start their own community away from family and friends.
