The Scarlet Letter - Nathaniel Hawthorne
I'm about half way through this, but I must have got distracted somewhere along the way..... I was really enjoying it so I don't know why I stopped reading itMaybe I'll pick it up again tonight
. There is a movie of this book too if that'll help your studies?
Happy Reading0 -
Argh, I haven't focused on reading for AGES as I've discovered the Chris Addison 7 Day Sunday podcasts on the BBC website - he's SO funny and the shows are an hour long so one does a train journey to and from work - or two home-going journeys as I tend to read the paper in the mornings!
So, still reading Night Train to Lisbon by Pascal Mercier, it's good but I'm getting a bit meh about it now. Also have La Bete Humaine by Emile Zola on the go, and have picked up The Beach House by Jane Green again for a second read (in bed).

Oooh movie of a book! Makes my life easier lol.
The Almost Moon was really good - it ended a bit abruptly, but it was worth the read!

Elfen - I picked up "The Scarlett Letter" again last night and am giving it another crack as I fancy watching the movie myself:D. The movie has got Demi Moore, Gary Oldman, Robert Duvall, and Lisa Joliffe-Andoh in it. However, I like to read a book before I watch the movie. The movie is available in my local Oxfam shop on video for about 60p;)0

Some of the course books I'll need for uni are over £50, well 2 of them are. OUCH!! Still too busy to really read anything at the moment, although I found loads more books to try and sell and I'm going to be reading some study skills books over the next few weeks to get me ready for starting uni in September.0

Hi all, been MIA for a bit as I've been away. I never did get The Amber Spyglass finished in time for my trip, but I took a thin book to read on the journey anyway. Boy Meets Girl by Ali Smith, it's one I got on RiSi a while back because I liked the title and cover art. Turns out it's part of the reworked myths series that Margaret Atwood's The Penelopiad is part of (which I have, but have not yet read, of course). Boy Meets Girl was a quick read, and I enjoyed it immensely, but it hasn't haunted me since I finished it, so just the four claps from me :T:T:T:T
Now on with The Amber Spyglass...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I know, as do I, but even second hand they're the same sort of price.
I have about £400 of books to buy; all for the course, nothing frivolous.
Got 177 books listed for sale on Greenmetropolis to try and make some space as well. Sold one book today which means 2 inches more space has been reclaimed.:p0
