This thread has moved v fast in a week! Usually read from my phone so its easier just to digest the info rather than part take....bought two (well technically four - box set of three and a single) book from The Works today - A Shakespeare Collection (which has 3 Volumes) and a present for my friends new baby - a collection of nursery rhymes for boys.
I will try not to buy anymore!
Also when i bought the three last time - i made a mistake i bought two books by the same author when i'd never read anything by her before!! (Usually i wait until i read and liked/loved and then by more!!)
Hope all of you are enjoying the long weekend!Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0 -
Nearly finished Kath Kelly's book and am then moving onto either a chick lit or a study guide type book...not decided yet.0

You decided yet Flicker ?
Just finished Lost Innocence - Susan Lewis. I don't know if I'm just getting old or all this PC'ness has got to me, but twas a very awkward read in places. Think I'm just picking up the wrong books.
Started The Very Thought of You - debut novel by Rosie Alison.DC.
"Some people walk in the rain... others just get wet... " - Roger Miller0 -
Ooh, just read the thread backwards in an attempt to catch up!
Elatan, did you let your books free? There's a list of sites in the first post...
I have been very brave and list 20 book onto Green Met. And that was me not trying very hard or being particularly ruthless, so it should het easier!
I am enjoying my "Food and Mood Handbook" and "Mind Over Mood" books from the library so the fiction has taken a back seat (interspersing these 2 with "No Logo", which I find quite hard going, but in a good way - I think!).
And tomorrow I get my new phone, which, apparently, has a book reader thing on it, so I might give that a go (when I'm out and about only!).Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

hi niccatw ... yep i got rid of a whole load of books for free ... filled two of those big plastic tubs (they are about 1m long .5 m wide and .75m in depth) and gave them to people that wanted them ... have about the same again to get rid of but am being a bit more selective with these ones as i might go back to uni one day (people are trying to talk me into it already yikes)
currently reading a bob flowerdue book about organic gardening and a geoff hamilton one to compare... am trying to grow my own stuff and need all the help i can get
i miss reading books for fun .... i miss all the laughter and tears that i used to shed reading a book ... since i decided to go to uni all i have read is referance books and it is annoying me no end0 -

Nah, I was too busy and still am, at the moment. However, I have listed more books for sale on Greenmetropolis.com so that means more potential money being made and space being cleared.I have been very brave and list 20 book onto Green Met. What's your username? I'll check your books out...And also I recommend the forums there for tips and advice. I'm FlickeringEmber on there. What did you think to it?
It was ok, I'd say 3/5. I preferred In The Red.0 -
Finished Michael Cricton's "State of Fear" :T:T:T:T claps from me. Exciting story line (in a Dan Brown way) and very very thought provoking on Green Issues. Excellent.
Started
Peter Kay's "Sound of Laughter" Only a few pages in but laughed out loud a lot already:D0 -
Sold 4 books since yesterday and posted them off, so slowly reclaiming yet more space.
Going to take a book with me for the weekend to read, aiming for a tatty book which can get a bit bashed in my bag without me freaking out, so I think my copy of Man and Wife by Tony Parsons; I have read all his other books and loved them but this one has been languishing on my bookshelf til now.0 -
