Can anyone recommend me something to read after I've finished these? - I like psychological thrillers mainly, quite dark things and nothing too simplistic.
I just hate it when I've finished a good book and haven't another one waiting, I'm tring to read slowly!
I've started The Girl... but have yet to finish it (story of my life!). Have you read The Secret History by Donna Tartt? I haven't read it for a few years, but I remember it completely engrossing me and I couldn't put it down!

Thanks hammyham, I haven't read it but I've read The Little Friend quite a few years ago now and enjoyed that. I'll give it a quick google,lol.
Keep on with Girl with Dragon Tattoo, it really is brilliant! x0 -

I love nordic noir books like the Steig Larsson trilogy. Similar things are anything by Jo Nesbo (he's one of my fave authors), the Wallander books by Henning Mankell, The Killing books (based on the TV series)...I could go on! More on a crime bent are the Bernie Gunther books by Philip Kerr. Here's a link to the waterstones reading guide for scandinavian crime/thriller. All of them are pretty good!
That being said, I've just finished The Bat by Jo Nesbo, it explains a lot about the character, wish might have to re-read the books in order again once The Cockroaches comes out in English.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

2 more purchases in the Pixie Nest i'm afraid, and goal updated:
Dreamhouse by Alison Habens (pb) - 50p
Agatha Raisin and the Haunted House by M.C. Beaton (pb) - 50p
in my defence (oh here she goes!) the first is a book i read back in 2006 and regretted giving away...so it's to add to my permanent collection. the second i will read and give away afterwards. i read the first 11 Agatha Raisin books and gave them away, and this is #14. i'd like to find #12 & 13 but i don't think you strictly need to read them in order after the first few? any Raisin fans out there?
now reading Offshore by Penelope Fitzgerald and am not enthralled as of yet. however i have a coach trip tomorrow (~ 6-8 hours round trip) so hope to finish it.

On to Phantom by Jo Nesbo. I'm about a quarter of the way in and it's shocking already! Not having a good week for not buying books this week! Bought Cupcakes at Carringtons, A passionate love affair with a stranger, Snoops in the City, Picture Perfect & The Boy Next Door, letters to my wife (4 x freebies) and have just bought the 7 Harry Potter books to re-read!Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0

Not officially counting them as purchases as I used a voucher, but I have added 7 more books to my 'to read' pile. And one I'd forgotten about as my mum is hiding it! so I'm up to 115 books to read, and 4 read so far. I'd be reading tonight but as I've already nodded off 3 times I'm not getting very far!*2014 £365/365days - £52/£365* *20p Savers club #17 £12.00/£50*
