Woohoo for Mr Sessie!
As it was my birthday last week he secretly went onto Ebay and got me FOUR books I've really wanted for a while - they are all to do with parenting and teaching through play etc... including a "funny one" called 'Can We Give Them Back Now?" which I've heard great things about. It's more of a "what you're feeling happens to every parent, you're not alone in this" sort of book - similar to Pile of Stuff at the Bottom of the Stairs - which I found myself saying, "Yes!" out loud to on many occasions!!
So add four to the Sessie pile BUT ;-
(a) I didn't buy them;
(b) they were birthday presents;
(c) they were second hand from Ebay, not new
Is that enough excuses??!

Is it too late to join this challenge? I have a terrible book buying habit. At least one a week often more.:eek: I'm terrified to think how much money I have spent over the years on books.0

OK I finally got up the courage to turn back on my Kindle...its up to 610 books :eek::o
Only bought one of the Times books from Waterstones today, Girl with a Pearl Earring, didn't have enough change to get both so will aim to get the other later on in the week.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Thank you Inapickle. I'm a very eclectic reader, but I particularly read a lot of plays, poetry and short stories, as my reading time tends to be while I travel, so the books that are languishing in my bookshelves, are heavy duty novels.
I am so addicted to buying books that my immediate panic response after signing up to the challenge was, 'I wonder if going to the Library counts as cheating?'0 -
Am I allowed to opt out this week.....just picked up a bookshop mystery shop to do tomorrow morning.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

okay so.. I got 3 books from the library today, another in the post (it was a giveaway win though!!)
Then I got my uni results through...officially have my honours degree!! Yay!
So my mum bought me 2 books from Asda, then I just bought 4 from The Book Depositry, and 2 Kindle books. oops
But to be fair I won Rockness tickets last week and sold them on Ebay for a ridiculous amount of money...plus you only get your uni results once right?!0 -
Also finished in the past couple of days:
Missing - Cathy Macphail (met her on Tuesday and interviewed her for my blog)
Embers - Lauren Barnholdt
Violet Midnight - Allie Burke
Pariah - Aron Warner
Ice Maiden - Sally Prue
currently reading Wither - Lauren Destafano0 -

They pay you for whatever you buy, don't they? If so, that's a blummin' clever way of getting your hands on some free books and I applaud your cunning and guile (while being well jealous at the same time)!littlepinkstars44 wrote: »okay so.. There is a small reimbursement....although I spent more than it - I think overall my three books cost me 98p (ok a little more than that as I'm pretending I my fee and reimbursement aren't subject to raids by the tax man later in the year).
I also bought the third times contemporary book this morning. I'll update my list at some point soon!It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
