  • Finished Matched - Ally Condie.
Really good book, and i am really starting to love all these YA dystopia book at the moment. The 2nd book in this series isn't being released till November...hopefully i will have cleared alot off my list by then!

Going to start Gone - Michael Grant (another YA dystopia series)
  • I made a couple more swaps over the weekend, so I'll have more books to add to the list when they arrive.

Just thought I would let you know about this offer:
Get CDs, DVDs, Games, Books etc delivered from 1p for new customers!

Basket must be £5.01 or more for the code to work. Warning: natwest debit cards get charged £1.25 with this company, so use an aternative (if you can!).

    Loads of cheap items available.

I've got 2 books on order for 48p and hubby has another 2 for 1.80 :)

    I am SUCH a failure!!

I make all these public promises to not buy any more books and ... uh.... I kinda.... "slip".

Went to Sainsbury's at the weekend to get some bits of shopping and saw Sophie Hannah's new one at £6.49. In hardback!

So... add another to my unreads. Although Im going to start it tonight so it won't be an unread for long.

Gave two that I've recently read to my sister last night though so TECHNICALLY I'm one down. Right? Yeah?

    *slinks away ashamed*

Oh, and we won't even TALK about the order I've just put in with The Book People (although those are birthday presents for my children later in the year and a thank you book for my mum who has been looking after me and the children whilst I've had my back done last week).

    [STRIKE]
A is for Ahern, Celia - Book of Tomorrow
B is for Battison, Patti - Love to Death
[/STRIKE]B (2) is for Brandreth, Giles - Oscar Wilde and the Ring of Death

So today i recieved Noughts & Crosses - Malorie Blackman as a swap, so i did get rid of a book, yay!
Then a lovely woman on goodreads is sending me Jonas - Eden Maguire later this week.

Took library books back, and took out:
The Eternal Ones - Kirsten Miller
The Glass Demon - Helen Grant
    Uglies (#1) - Scott Westerfeld
    Specials (#3) - Scott Westerfeld
    Extras (#4) - Scott Westerfeld

Still waiting on Pretties (#2) - Scott Westerfeld to come back in, i reserved the whole series online.

Also bought The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: A Twilight Novella - Stephanie Meyer and Crescendo - Becca Fitzpatrick. So am waiting for those to arrive.

Yes, i think if i put the books in bold, it might start to make me feel bad! It's not really happening though!
  • to those of you who do the A-Z challenge, how do you decide on your authors?
    just randomly?

    Hello Catslovelycats

I'm not sure if anyone else is doing it on this thread at the moment!

I just browse through the books of Authors that meet the criteria (A, B, C etc) until I find a couple that I think I'll enjoy based on what it says on the back/inside cover about it.

Its a challenge but a lot of fun.

  • I forgot to say I finished VD The Return over the weekend and I'm currently reading The Return: Nightfall - I'm only a few chapters in, but not really feeling it. I hope it improves :(
