Ok- a bit of an update......
Buba has been in her temporary home for a bit now, she has been vet checked, had a full dental (and there was problems with her teeth - all sorted now), had a lot of tests (heart, blood tests etc) as well as her passport prepared.... I have paid for all this and I pay for her upkeep in her temporary home where she is now....
Unfortunately, it turns out that I will NOT be able to have her where I live, I will NOT be allowed to have a second dog here.
I have two options now - try to look for a home for her in Poland or.....try to look for a home for her here in UK.
Buba gets on great with cats, other dogs and is a proper lap dog - she just wants cuddles and her own human.
Is anyone from here able to direct me to where I could try to find her a home?
No, I do not mean the Gumtree......
A friend of mine could bring her over to UK in September (I think, would have to check) as the 6 months from blood tests for the passport is a requirement, she does NOT need to a quarantinne here, she can go straight to a new home.
She is not a pedigree dog, she is a pure breed mongrel (lots of them in Poland) but she is healthy (overweight so on diet type of food now) - do you think she may have a chance for a home here?
I know a lot of people complain that UK rescue places refuse them to adopt a dog....there would be a home check carried out (have friends here who do homechecks for UK dog charities) and ideally the home would need to be within an hour drive from London where I live as this is where Buba would be arriving from Poland....
Any ideas/pointers/suggestions more than wellcome... this is not what I have planned for this dog but this is how things have turned out so I have to deal with it in the best way possible...
Thanks a lot everyone....0 -
That's a shame... dogages may be a useful place to start looking...
