Is the 6 month wait due to the rabies vaccination? If so, it may be a little longer as the 6 months is timed from when they take the blood test that shows anti bodies for rabies (hence the vaccine has worked). But if you needed to you could bring him home sooner, but he'd have to be in quarrine to make up the time.
I think its wonderful that you are doing such great things for dogs much in need.0 -
Thanks everyone
I do not want her (it is her not him)to be in quarantine kennels so gonna wait 6 months for all paperwork to be sorted in Poland where she is gonna wait in a "foster home".
6 months - long time.. still better than the previous regulations....0 -

looking at the photos, I do think she is quite similar to Badger in her make-up, short legs, ginger eyebrows etc.. the proportions appear to be very similar if she was leaner...
Similar? LOL0 -

Thanks everyone
The procedure is:
1) Passport and microchip
2) rabbies vaccination
3) Blood sample sent to Berlin (Germany) for testing
6 months from the blood collection (not results) if all good dog can travel
24-48 hours before crossing the border the dog needs to be wormed and flea treatead - I heard of situations when someone was 1 our out of the time limit and.... do not even want to think about that.
Still looking for a foster home for Buba in Poland where I can keep her (cost about £80-£100 per month) for the 6 months. That proves to be difficult at the monet - all "foster homes" are full, just waiting for a place... Hmmmm
Fingers crossed though0
