Oh thanks everyone, should have some photos tomorrow - from her new foster home :)

I am told she RUNS up and down the stairs with other dogs LOL

I was expecting her to ROLL not RUN but .. running will do her good.

The shelter she was in, the dogs do not really get a chance for a walk, never mind for a run.........

    :)
Also, a big thank you to the lovely lady from here who wanted to help me with the cost of bringing Buba over, (I am not sure she would like me to mention her name so will not), I am able to sponsor BUba myself but the money she has so kindly donated for Buba will go towards help for another dog who will be very, very gratefull... :)

Oh and some correction - on the first page I have put:
Please meet Buba - nobody knows exaclty how old Buba is but she spent her last 10 years in a shelter, time for some nice life for her...

Now, I was told Buba is about 9 years old and has been in the shelter for about 5 years but.. does not matter any more, she seems to remember living in a house, calls to be let out for toilet, gets on well with other dogs and is generally a sweet several kilograms (19 to be precise) of fur :)

Buba must be overjoyed at having the freedom to move around at will - I can just imagine her jigging up and down the stairs, bless her little fat tummy.

Rainbow Child - believe me, easier to adopt a dog from that far than here, for me anyway ;)

Some new photos of Buba - in her temporary home in Poland.....

She looks like an English Bulldog with that chest, doesn't she?

And her teeth need a lot of attention but.. what a smile :)

Please do NOT click the link below (Fokus) if you are easily upset......

Fokus - this is another dog we are getting out of shelter now and putting in a foster home for his old days. Poor, old GS-type dog that gets bullied in a shelter.

Someone from this thread has kindly offered help with a bit of money towards wet fees/upkeep of this dog, her name with her declaration is on the first page of this dog's forum thread - thank you VERY much. I will be sending the money over this Friday. HOpe we can save him and make his last days comfortable... :(

Yes, it's true that many dogs spend their lives in shelters here. There just isn't the same culture of "oh, no-one wants Fido, let's kill him" that many "Animal welfare" charities have in the UK - and for this, I'm thankful.

I note that the RSPCA in the UK is particularly well known for throwing money at pointless prosecutions and harrassing people, while killing dogs because they can't rehouse them (or can't be bothered to).
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

Dead right...They have gone all political the last few years, and the number of creatures they kill is obscene. The public want to see the figures before they give them sod all.

PDSA...they're different and worthy of support.
