Adopting a dog - wanted to share

Just an update - Buba is getting her microchip/passport/injections next week

I also found someone who will look after her for me for the 6 months so she will be leaving the schelter in about a week and go to a temporary home

Aww, she's beautiful, such a lovely little face. Well done to you for bringing her over and giving her a nice home, she really deserves it after all that time in kennels. I am sure she will give you so much pleasure. x

Well, Buba went to the vets today and had her injections/microchip/passport sorted.. and her nails clipped

She is going to her foster home tomorrow where she will have her blood tests done (21 days from the date of injections) and wait 6 months to be able to come here.

Buba has a lot of supporters on the Polish forum for her trip to UK and some Photoshop-able people have done those LOL

Thought I would share with Buba's supportres here too

Poor Buba though, having spent so much of her life in kennals. I bet you can't wait for her to arrive!

Btw, how do you say her name, I keep reading it like Bubba (like bubba gump shrimp lol) is it said like BU BAH?

Buba is very sweet.......BUT........not sure about the dodgy men in your bed :rotfl: :rotfl: Where either of them there when you woke up this morning?!?!

Zara is a beauty too - if she is almost a GSD I wonder what else she has got a bit of as she does have a very slightly different face? Very stunning and "wolf" like though.

I'm off to check my bedroom in case any random men have appeared!! I wish!! lol!!

Buba has arrived in her temporary home this morning, she left the shelter about 6 am Polish time (1 hour time difference to here) and despite about 35cm of snow most of the way... and the temporary home being in the middle of nowhere.. she was delivered safely there.

She got her pasport with her of course

She started by bullying the 3 resident dogs in there, I was told she is not fat at all, she is masssssssssssssiiiiiivvvvvvve.She follows the lady who looks after her around on her little short legs happy to have "her own human"

I was also told her teeth are in a very bad state.

I have another person in Poland who I met through the forum who helps to look after Buba. We are letting Buba calm down a bit n a new place for about a week and then she will be off to a vet for a general check up/blood tests/heard check (with this weight she will need to), diet advice and.... to a specialist dental vet

I will post some photos as soon as anyone gets there through the snow as the lady who loks after Buba, being 66 is brillinat on the email/forums but photos .. we have to get someone else there
