Mazcabs, I fed all 3 of my babies on formula, they all were on hungry baby at really early ages [can't remember exact ages but I did follow the guideline on the tins]. As far as I am concerned they are not allowed to give instructions that are unsafe, no matter what HV's etc. say. They were all on 3-4 hour feeding routines at a very young age. As far as water goes, if you think they need it then offer it, you can always try a [sterile] teaspoon, I don't think they need a lot but it can help with preventing wind and also constipation.

    Hello

My baby is on Aptimal Comfort and I've noticed the price hike! I know that promotions aren't allowed but wondered if we're allowed to use general money-off vouchers? e.g. if you have a £5 off £50 spend at Tesco then can you buy £50 of baby formula or is this also considered promotion?

    Thanks in advance

You can't use any money off vouchers including general ones. It'll say in the small print.

Out of curiosity, has anyone worked out how many oz you get from a tin? I keep meaning too... but never get around to doing it...

I'd be interested, I was discussing with someone the other day, who said she thought whole cows milk was more expensive, oz for oz, than formula. I suppose it also depends on the measurements used, oz or ml.

Do you have digital kitchen scales? If so, put the tin on and zero it, then make your bottle(s) and you will have the weight of however many scoops you've done and will be able to calculate the scoops per tin.

I read somewhere you can get roughly 28 240ml bottles out of a tin if that is correct then then it would be 224 but i dont know how accurate that is :-)
