Oh get a grip.. honestly.. if it was possible to roll eyes I would.

My children are so very beaten I cannot remember the last time they got a slap.. and it will have been threatened plenty of times before actually doing it.. and it will have stopped them doing whatever it was they were doing.

Actually.. I just remembered.. My 11 year old got a slap about 2 weeks ago after kicking his 9 year old sister in the stomach after winding her up following her round the house copying and mocking her despite being told repeatedly to stop.. after his behaviour got them a console ban.

And I wouldn't think twice about slapping an adult I had repeatedly told to stop doing something.. like when I have given my XH a punch in the face after being repeatedly told not to scream in my face and spitting on me while doing so.. and no that isn't why he is the ex..

and it is stupid to be scared of the shower.. and the only way they will get used to it is by experience.. and it amuses me that they scream like it is pure acid being tipped over them.. so I tell them to get a grip and stop being so pathetic. A shower is hardly torture, it is personal hygeine.. they scream in the bath when having their hair washed too and I ignore them and carry on.. should I leave them to stink?

I cannot believe anyone would be naive enough to take that to this extreme.. Pmsl...

    You sound lovely :rotfl:

We'd be p***ed on 'White Lightnin', sitting on the doorstep in our bras (I used to live in a street where a couple of the women did this in the summer) and telling the kids to look in next door's bin for their tea cos we'd spent the food money down the bingo.

Ooh it's at least 4-5 jugs for my DD with her long hair.:D

A particularly bad hair wash session resulted in my OH cutting a chunk out of the back of her hair. I was the one who had to cut it evenly while it was sticking to the snot where she was crying. I wouldn't mind, but when she went to school the next day and everyone said how nice her new hairstyle was she said her daddy did it.:p

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    4-5 jugs? Pure evil

Next you'll be telling me you don't use that no more tears shampoo, instead opting for the 'grown up' shampoo that stings your eyes :D

I don't think any of you are bad mummies, but I did not and will not agree with the one comment about enjoying slapping a child because of the sound it makes - The wording of it was not nice and past personal experience will not let me find that comment funny or lighthearted.

Not really...I didn't expect my son to fall out of his pram whilst he was asleep but he did.

    I disagree

I once watched my DS play with a half dead wasp in the garden
I knew he was doing it, I didn't stop him doing it
I also knew the sting was inevitable

    Guess what though?

He's never played with a wasp since

Now you tell me thats not a valuable lesson in life
It's up there with don't eat yellow snow :D
