Evening all, and welcome new posters.

newlywed - well done on your loss! :T I agree with you on the portion size issue - I know it tends to be my downfall, too. :o

I haven't posted over the weekend as I didn't eat particularly healthily, but a) I had a long walk in the heat on Saturday, and b) it was my birthday, so I can be a bit naughty, right? ;)

Today's back to being good(ish), though. I've had:

B - muesli with semi-skimmed milk and stewed raspberries and HG blackcurrants (it's a shame I only had enough for one small portion, as they were lovely )
    S - banana
L - 3 small slices of cold veg pizza with a mixed salad; small pack mixed veggie crackers
D - chorizo, chickpea and pepper stew (fairly small portion) with HM herb bread; glass of fruit juice

I went for a walk at lunchtime, so I got some exercise, plus I've started using the stairs at work again (I stopped as I had a nasty cough a couple of months ago and the stairs made things much worse, and somehow I've just never got back into the habit again).
Back after a very long break!

Well done newlywed, that's a wonderful loss!

Bought the Allen Carr easyweigh book in charity shop the other day for a euro so have been reading it a bit....I credit his anti smoking book with getting me off cigarettes so have great faith in his method...will see what happens!

    Today I have eaten:

    B...small piece French stick with banana....no butter, tea;
    Sn...small choc biscuit;
    L...even smaller piece French stick with butter beans....no butter, tea;
D...Salad, including whole beetroot, onion slices, blanched asparagus, butter and green beans, tomato, v small piece steak, half a hard boiled egg, bread with butter, sponge topped with gooseberries, red currants and cream, tea.
    Sn..tea with milk (mistake)

Have been looking at portions and think that is definitely my biggest problem, trying to cut them down, step by step.

    Welcome newbies

Thanks for the welcome everyone :) Been very hungry today, this is how it looks so far:

B: 30g instant oats made with water + 1 chopped date. Banana smoothie made with 1/3 banana and 100ml oat milk
L: 1 toasted teacake with 2 thin slivers of tofutti mozzarella melted on top.
T: 2 slices of nimble granary with 1/2 an avocado, mustard and 4 slices of pickled beetroot.
D: Likely to be veggies in curry sauce with salad + possibly some sweet potato.

Dinner will be later tonight so hopefully that sandwich earlier will keep me going but gutted I gave in!

Did another 200 sit-ups today and lots of busy housework stuff but no proper exercise again. Will try to get another 200 sit ups in before bed though.
Love and compassion to all x

    hi everyone!
can i come back please :o i remember some of you and the fantastic support you were last year when i lost 3 stone :j:j i have gradually put back on 1/2 stone and it really needs to go!! i know its not a massive amount but is a slippery slope if i'm not careful.
i have sneaked back here to lurk a couple of times but not been very good. i really need a weekly weigh in and to write down what i eat. my meals are generally healthy but snacking is my problem (and wine :o) i am alsways starving before lunch and late afternoon. what can i do to stop these danger times? (im not good with porridge either)

    heres todays (honest) food:
b 2 x wholemeal toast with thin scrape of butter and cheese spread.
    s punnet of cherries
l plate of roast veg with halloumi cheese and a pitta bread
    s 2 x biscuits
d 3 slices (1 was dd'd leftover :o) wholemeal toast with beans and a scrape of butter. 1 (largish) square of dark choc and pickings of left over halloumi cheese.

its too much isnt it?! i would be ok if it wasnt for the picking

hope you are all well :D

Hi all, felt hot and bothered today and had to run up and down stairs after the boss all day.

b: just right and oat milk
    s: nana
s: small bar of choc :o
l: salmon and rice with salad
s: erm um well I needed something to get through the afternoon and it just happened to be a most enjoyable double decker :o
d: sausages and oven chips and then some sorbet.

Must get more nice fruit for tomorrow so I don't give in quite so easily to chocolate.

    Evening all.

vixtress - welcome (back) to the thread. :hello: Well done on losing 3 stone and keeping the vast majority of it off. :T Your day's meals look pretty much OK to me, so I would guess you're right that it's the picking that's the problem. I do sympathise over the leftover halloumi - it's something I find very hard to leave alone, too.

newlywed - hope you enjoyed your double decker. ;) I figure it doesn't hurt occasionally to eat something nice like that, as long as I don't let it become more than occasionally (one of my major downfalls :o:o).

I haven't had much of an appetite today so I've managed to eat fairly lightly and healthily:

B - muesli with fat-free yoghurt and sliced banana
L - LO chickpea, chorizo and pepper stew with a granary roll; three small nectarines
D - asparagus and pecorino omelette with minty new potatoes (dressed with a little bit of butter because they just taste nicer with butter :p)

I had a long-ish walk at lunchtime so I've even got in some exercise. Things are (hopefully) looking up!

Well yesterday was a pig of a day so had to really force myself to go to my pilates class - only to find out that I only have two more then no more classes 'till late September. Oh well - guess the exercise DVDs will be getting more use!

    Food wise yesterday:

B: Sliced strawberries and banana with low fat apple and aloe vera yoghurt. Nope, I'd never heard of that one before either.

L: One baked chicken drumstick, braised red cabbage and lettuce.

D: Toad in the hole with butternut squash

S: 1.5 slices of brown toast with marmite.

Exercise - 65 minute pilates class

    Today:

B: Sliced stawberries with 2 small bananas

L: Apple aloe vera yoghurt (cos I forgot my lunch :o)

D: Grilled chicken with salad and avocado

E: at least 30 mins - haven't decided what yet!

I'm planning on doing some batch cooking at the weekend (home made ready meals for during the week). Can anyone suggest some healthly yet tasty wintery casserole type things that aren't completely full of stodge?!
