    Good Morning all,
Just had a lovely walk with my old boy (dog not DH :D) and left 'pupkin' (he's the one in the avatar) at home. It's so nice to be able to walk along in the sun with friends and natter instead of having to be dragged along avoiding other dogs which I have to do with junior. Still I will have to take him shortly so plenty of exercise for me today, but in this weather I'm not complaining, and then a bit more gardening as the garden waste is being collected tomorrow.
Well done to ragz, you are doing so well :T
So far all is going well on the food front here in the wolves den! I never thought I'd see the day when my males would willingly have porridge for breakfast, but they are, bless 'um. I've never known DH eat so much fruit in the 23yrs I've known him and DS has been trying things to see if he likes them instead of his usual trick of refusing to even try a mouthful. Cost a fortune last week but at least he's getting more variety in his diet, and the bread, marg and cheese have been dramatically reduced :T. Anything he doesn't eat goes in the dogs!
    So the menu today is;
breakie - porridge and fruit juice (+ prunes for me)
Lunch - roast beef and salad with banana, grapes and yogurt for pud.
Snacks - small box of raisins, and slice of melon
Tea - HM steak pastie, potatoes, carrot and swede and brussel sprouts.
DH will have vegi pastie and DS Cottage pie and sweetcorn instead of sprouts.
Take care folks, and I wish you luck grateful.

  • Hello! May I hop onto the wagon?

I'm somewhat overweight and I'd like to lose approx. 3 stone to get into the 'healthy' range of BMI for my height. I don't have a specific deadline in mind - although a friend's wedding in Sept 2010 would be a good deadline to work to I think. :) I already eat pretty healthily (I make the majority of our meals from scratch, we rarely eat out and have take-aways), although could definitely do better in terms of getting more veg in my diet. Chocolate is also a very dear friend of mine unfortunately, who I'm trying to distance myself from. I walk quite a bit, but I am going to get back into doing the Wii Fit daily and try and get swimming more.

    So, today, I have had...
Breakfast: Glass of orange juice. (No actual breakfast, bad me).
Lunch: Rye Ryvita with low-fat cream cheese, with low-sugar orange squash.
Snack: Grapes, small handful of chocolate covered raisins.
Tea: Breaded fish, HM oven-chips, peas.

rainbowfairydust, I understand them as thus - DH = Darling Hubby, DS = Darling Son, DD = Darling Daughter. :)

    Welcome Miss I,

I crave choc around That Time of the Month but I go one of two ways:
Buy a mars bar & choc shake drink and have the lot together - this makes me feel over full and sick of chocolate.

Or get a low cal hot choc drink as this tends to satisfy me for chocolate taste and then I don't keep wanting.

from your daily breakdown it looks like you have a good grip on things apart from the breakfast - if your not a big eater could you try smoothies? I love these in the warmer weather and if you have a liquidizer you can make them to your own taste.
  • Hello

    Lunch cheese sandwich
Snacks grapes, 2 plums apple. 5 sweets from jar (my downfall)
Dinner - jacket spud and salad.

    evening all!

Grateful - (((hugs))) so sorry to read your news - I think your new aims are excellent!:T I must try and follow them myself:)

    ragz - well done!:T

suzid - great news that your family are doing so well - my Dh has manage to lose a pound so far but he's trying:)

welcome to our new faces and well done to all those who have lost this week:T

I managed to put half on this week but I'm blaming that on some heavy jewellery I was wearing at weigh in;):D

I've been shopping today and stocked up on lots of healthy stuff so fingers crossed for a good week. The only trouble is I'm working all weekend but will try hard to be good.

    B - 1 WW toast 1 weetabix skimmed milk

S - low cal cereal bar

    L - cheese and onion sandwich(WW bread)

    S - shortbread(while out:o)

D - quorn burger, small jacket spud and huge salad followed by low fat yoghurt.

no fruit at all as I'd run our but got lots to nibble at now!

    have a good week/weekend all x
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Well...WI this morning..and I have STS ...again!!!:o

I suppose it's better than gaining, but I REALLY need to start shedding all this excess weight I am carrying!!

I don't have any work rota-ed in for the next three weeks....so I will try and do my best to get an exercise routine sorted...not too vigorous as my back is still not great.

Will let you know what I decide...off to see a friend now...lovely afternoon!
