Did my first Week 3 (C25k) session this morning but I think I have negated the calorie burn with flapjack intake... must STOP eating the flapjacks! I saw how much butter sugar and honey I put in them and I really don't think I can excuse that with the dates and raisins that also went in, though I've probably eaten enough to contain one of my 5 a day!
Breakfast was fruit toast and granary toast with the usual

Flapjacks... I keep going back for 'a tiny bit' so no idea how much I've had... must remind myself that it is better to give myself one whole piece then no more, I'd eat less that way than in sneaky bites!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Yesterday I had to take my dog to the vet one last itme, he had kidney failure and it had reached the point where there was no more treatment. I miss him sooo much my heart hurts.
I'm sorry to put up such a sad message but I needed to share and as DH is away on business, I am clearing up the dog's things all alone. You won't be suprised to learn I have eaten rather a lot of chocolate and cake!
I'll post more later, need a break now."doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -
((((Liz)))), thinking of you, I feel for you so much and hope your DH will be home before too long. Meantime take a little comfort from the knowledge that your beloved dog will be waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge xxx0

Oh Lazy Liz my heart goes out to you, my old boy died nearly 3 yrs ago and I'm in tears just reading your post!
could you maybe go for your favourite walk and remember his gone to heaven and so is watching out for you?0 -
Hugs to you, Liz. It must be getting on for fifteen years since I had to do the same for my dog, for the same reason, and I still think of her often and the daft or brilliantly clever things she used to do. It broke my heart to have to do it, but it helped to know that the huge thing I'd forced myself to do for her was nothing in comparison to the many things she'd willingly done for me. I can still remember how it felt to go home and get rid of her stuff and clean the grubby mark off the wall for the last time in the spot she'd repeatedly picked as her favourite place to lie against - I think I sobbed to myself for two days straight, but I promise it does get easier and that the hollow hurt you're feeling now will soon be replaced by your own happy memories too. Chocolate and cake are definitely permissible for you today, I reckon - take care xFreddie Starr Ate My Signature
