Well done on those who have lost :j

So, today is another day where I could have been better :o

brunch - bread sticks and hummous
late lunch (3pm) - roast pork with cabbage, small yorkie, carrots, peas and roasted parsnips. Left the roast pots though, banoffee cheesecake (sooooo good).

Tomorrow will be better, promise... :o

Well done newlywed! I am feeling pretty despondent after my weekly weigh in this morning - just half a pound this week after all that effort! I know I was a bit naughty on Tuesday but I have been pretty strict with myself the rest of the time. So that's just 3 lbs lost in the first two weeks of the May Challenge. Oh well, tomorrow is another day and I must try harder this week! We are off on our travels again tomorrow, until Thursday, but I shall resist temptation this time! And hopeful of a few days of decent weather to try and get some walking done. Every bit of exercise helps I suppose! See you all Thursday!

Well done to all the losers - I can happily report that I'm a loser too :) It's the end of week one, and I've waved off 3.5lbs. Yay :) I'm pleased with that, especially since I've fallen off the wagon a couple of times. I actually think that allowing myself to fall just a little bit has helped. Usually I'll feel peckish (mostly during the evening), get a mental image of something like a crab paste sandwich with my name on and then give in to temptation. After this I'll convince myself that I'm now too hefty to haul myself back on the wagon and so console myself with half a loaf of bread and whatever else I can cram between the slices. This time I gave myself permission to snack if I feel hungry as soon as I hit my first low point (you cannot go much lower than feeling seriously tempted by an advert for cat treats!), and for the first time in ages I can look back on the week and say that I haven't binged once on food just because it was there. I hasten to add that I've not indulged in cat treats either, now or ever :)

A couple of other things have helped too. Firstly, I can thank my Mother In Law (unusually!) for the whirlwind of cleaning activity and burnt calories that preceded her visit this weekend. I also had a bit of a kickabout in the park with my daughters and my youngest son when he made a surprise visit yesterday. In addition, I can thank Boots and their 3 for 2 promotion, which got me extending my nail polish collection and reviving my interest in nail art. There are lots of nail art tutorials to be found via Google or Youtube, and most involve lengthy waits for each coat of polish to dry before you can apply the next. So far this has been helping to keep fingers out of the biscuit tin, but if you hear of someone trying to start a design trend for bourbon crumb-encrusted fingernails then you'll know it's a strategy that's failing :)

Congratulations losers, every ounce gone is a bonus :D

Another day when meals were a bit erratic but managed to get three in somehow. A normal day tomorrow, I hope
Breakfast - missed, forgot to take some F&F with me :(
Lunch out - Smoked salmon fillet (very boney _pale_, puts me off eating it) salad with oil/vinegar dressing, coleslaw. Lime juice with soda water
Tea - Bacon sandwich - lean bits of 3 back rashers, 2 slices WW Danish, scrape of Flora light on one slice, scrape brown sauce on the other.
    Snacks - plum, satsuma, apple
Supper - bowl F&F, skimmed milk
Lots of tea with skimmed milk
Driving - 1/2 packet Polo mints. Must try to find something less sugary that I like as much while I'm driving

    Have a good week

    Morning all.

Very well done to the losers - this thread is getting lighter all the time! :D

I'm feeling quite pleased this morning as I re-found a pair of trousers I stopped wearing as they were far too tight, and they fit again! (They're still a bit tighter than I'd like, TBH, but at least they're wearable. :))

    Today goes:

B - porridge with dried cranberries and a sprinkling of vanilla seeds
    S - peach
L - large mixed salad (lettuce, watercress, radishes and cucumber) with humous; pesto roll
S - another piece of fruit - I've run out again and must buy some at lunchtime
D - Basque eggs (2 eggs in a chorizo / tomato / pepper sauce) with the last of the pesto rolls; glass of white wine (well, I can't let it go to waste, can I? :money: ;))

Exercise today will be spending the evening doing the housework I should have done yesterday - vacuuming the flat, dusting the bedroom, and washing off the kitchen cupboards and tiles, plus cleaning the carpet where the cat's been sick on it (thanks, cat :().

Have a nicely healthy day, all.
Back after a very long break!
