Hi 69Chick, I've not been here long myself but you'll find lots of help and advice and sometimes just being able to vent! (see my post last night!)
Do you drink lots of coffee? I had to give up real coffee and ordinary instant coffee to reduce my blood sugar swings and snack attacks, un-leaded (decaf) instant is OK if you buy are quality brand and it has definately reduced my sugar lows.
It looks to me like you start the day quite well, perhaps if you included a bit of protein in your breakfast this would help too, suggestions recently on here have ranged from yogurt to tuna! via waferthin chicken sandwiches, or you coluld take a hardboiled egg to work or some nuts
Hope this helps a bit, stick at it and good luck
Thanks to everyone for being there in my time of crisis, I resited and go throught the rest of the evening OK despit the customer ringing me again at 5.45, I work from home and I answered the phone before I check caller id !!"doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -
69chick i also feel lethargic alot, which i'm sure is down to my weight,
i just want to have more energy, i feel like an old woman, but i dont think i should feel like this at 46! although i know my metabolism is alot slower now than it was, oh for the days when i could eat what i wanted, i have to be super good today cos yesterday,,,
we went to the cinema then at a diner i had a cheeseburger, oh it was heavenly , so today i am having
breakfast - 2 poached eggs on wholemeal toast
lunch - chilli con carne (done healthily i hope)
later maybe nothing? or a banana if i am, starving,0 -
Good grief can't some people go on? Just had a custmer on the phone who is a world class winger, he's terribly polite but he complains incessantly and constantly brings up things I thought we had dealt with! It's enough to make anyone reach for a biscuit... infact I feel like taking the whole tin. But I won't, knowing you are all out there empathising , I hope:o.
aagh no he's just been on again! Help I am going to die, he has talked my ear off!
this reminded me of when I worked for a sewing & knitting company - all the customers were OAP's all polite but could chat for england with the occasional whinger thrown in just to keep you on your toes (i'm being polite!!)
I remember one customer was so deaf I was shouting down the phone, everyone in the building could hear me, and the little old dear's parting words were "you must speak up next time" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh that's put a smile on my face (it was over 7 years ago). Well done for staying away from the biscuits!
Yesterday I had a drink of wine and then ended up sharing the whole bottle with my fellanaughty me!
Today:
B: soft boiled egg and soliders
S: apple
L: sandwich prob ham salad
S: mini figsbaked chicken, joyal royals and peas

Hi all,
reached for the biccy tin last night but put the digestive back and so didn't have any
My weigh day is Sunday so will see whether all the lack of cakes, bread and biccies has been worth it or not! But I have discovered that my belly isn't nearly so bloated - from cutting out all the bread stuff I think (as my preference for cakes is ones made with yeast dough).
Food today:
b: 1 shredded wheat and nana (acutally doesn't feel as skimpy portionwise as I expected) plus 1 ryvita with pastrami (protein)
s: grapes and 2 ryvita with pastrami
l: hm veg curry
s: possibly an orange or a yoghurt
d: OH and the kids are out so I only have to cook for me for a change :j - found a lonely salmon fillet in the freezer so will have that and corn on the cob and maybe low fat hm oven chips.
Then there will be the weekend....
Trying to work it out so I can at least have one crumpet with jam and yet be good foodwise with the rest of the dayworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Evening all, and welcome to the new posters! :hello:
I've been out all day today and had lunch out, so I perhaps didn't eat as healthily as I would have done normally, but I felt very virtuous asking for salad with my sandwich rather than the chips that were listed on the menu (as it turned out, I should have asked them to limit the mayo as well, as the poor sarnie was dripping with the stuff).
B - FF yoghurt with chopped pear and grapes
L - chicken and bacon sandwich with a mixed salad; two small glasses of white wine (bad CCP, and at lunchtime, too. It was a very nice treat, though.)
D - bean and sausage calzone (made with lots of bean and very little sausage); tomato and basil salad
Exercise - I walked to the station this morning, which is about a mile, and have been walking pretty much all day: it was mooching rather than proper walking, but it's got to count for something, particularly given how heavy my shopping bag was by the time I headed back to the station.
It's weigh day for me tomorrow, so I'll have to see what effect a week of being good (this lunchtime excluded) has done. Fingers crossed...Back after a very long break!0 -
Today's been hit and miss too.
b - shreddies with blueberries and skimmed milk
l - greek salad, banana, bite of cake
t - chicken, chips and beans
Exercise - 45 mins of hockey which apparently has burnt off 374 calsBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Dinner was steamed salmon with steamed new pots and green beans and corn on the cob.
