Started off okay but got very strange by late morning
B - FnF, grapefruit juice
S - went to :coffee:with a friend. She cut me a slice of lemon drizzle, I asked her to cut it in half. She then produced a lemon chiffon pie, cut me a slice, I asked her to cut it in half. She then produced ginger cake:eek: I tried to refuse but she tied my hands behind my back and forced me to eat it! Honest she did
Struggled home but couldn't face lunch, had some grapes and a couple of satsumas mid afternoon.
Dinner - was to be a mild hm veg curry but while rooting throught freezer for veg I found half a tray of prawns, so threw them in as well. Not a great rice lover and had no naan so had it with two slices of WW Danish.
There's enough left for tomorrow's lunch which will save fuel and effort
Said friend gave me some eggs fresh from her chooks this morning, so tomorrows breakfast is already decided

Morning all! Well I stayed (more or less!) to plan yesterday. I went shopping and filled my trolly with lots of salad stuff, fruit and veg. OH, of course, kept slipping in biscuits and other goodies, thinking I hadn't noticed! But I WILL NOT eat any of them!
I have just decided what to put on today's menu but this could all go to pot as I have my 3 little GD's coming this afternoon for a sleepover. They always want pizza and cheesy pasta for tea, followed by big bowls of ice cream, smothered in strawberry sauce. Will I be able to refrain or will I be forced to join them!!!
My menu will be (as of this minute anyway!):
B Porridge topped with mixed fruit compote
L HM Spicy tomato and lentil soup and a salad sandwich (in Nimble Granary) Strawberries & blueberries with FF yogurt
D Smoked Haddock, salad & new pots. Sugar free jelly, raspberries and FF fromage frais.
Snacks of fruit (if I can resist the tiny Peppa Pig chocs I have bought for the girls!!)
Have a nice weekend one and all. My weigh day tomorrow (oh dear!) shall report back!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
WI day today... have lost 1.5lb this week, so running must be helping! :T
Went for second run of week two yesterday, doing well but dreading next week, I will go from running for 90 seconds at a time to 3 minutes!
Possible BBQ this evening if it stays nice, will try to limit what I eat, have a tendency to eat continuously at a BBQ and then be utterly shocked when I count up how much I've had
Good luck everyone, have a good weekendJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Morning all.
I had my weekly weigh session this morning and have lost just under 1kg (about 2lbs) since this time last week. I confess I'm a bit disappointed with that: I lost 1lb last weekend alone, so a week of eating so little I've spent three days feeling permanently hungry has resulted in a loss of only 1lb.Am I just expecting too much, too fast?
Whatever happens, I need to increase my exercise - I was thinking of trying the Couch to 5K thing people keep mentioning, but I have very dodgy knees and I suspect I'd just end up crippling myself.I'm going to try fitting in a second half hour walk after work, in addition to what I do at lunchtime - I will get this weight off!
Today's food will be:
Brunch - three rashers of bacon with the fat cut off, with avocado, on onion and caraway seed bread (it's amazing what you can pick up RTC in supermarkets!); a peach (my first of the year -)
Snack - a couple of pints of lime cordial and soda while watching the FA Cup final (one of the drinks may metamorphosise into a pint of cider, though, I suspect)
Dinner - squash, bean and chorizo stew (a small amount of chorizo, with the fat drained off, should be enough to flavour the whole thing) with a chunk of my fancy bread; bunch of grapes; couple of small glasses of white wine
Exercise - I need a new pair of trainers so I'll walk down to the shopping centre, which is just over two miles, and will walk back although I'll stop at a pub on the way to watch the football.
TA - enjoy your day with your GDs.
ragz - well done on your loss this week. :TBack after a very long break!0 -
Congrats to todays losers, ragz, Boodle and CCP :T
CCP you've just lost almost the weight of 2 tins of baked beans, that's amazing! Mind you bb's don't enter my house ever, I'd lose weight throwing up just by smelling them . Do wish I liked them though, they seem to figure in so many diets/eating plans as a very healthy food.
Boodle I googled sheesly, it sounds yum. Where do you buy it?
TA good luck with the abstinence - if you can resist DGD food you're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!
ragz hope it stays fine for the bbq, it's overcast here for the first time in 6 weeks so we may get some rain at last. Mind you, it's teased us like this a couple of times lately
Breakfast was 2 tiny soft boiled eggs from my friends new layers. Bless them the eggs only just peep over the top of my egg cup, ahhh! A slice of WW Danish soldiers and glass of grapefruit juice. 2 mugs tea
Late lunch which is just heating in the mw now, of last nights left-over prawn & veg curry with a slice of WW bread.
Snax of satsuma, apple, melon
Tea - to be decided but no doubt a salad as it needs using up
Took a packet of sour cream and chive SnackaJacks to bed last night. I used to take something every night to nibble while I was reading but before I opened it the writing on the front caught my eye '8% fat'. The pack in back in the cupboard, how's that for not being led into temptation?!
I'm out for the day tomorrow visiting DM, which means a restaurant lunch. I'll do my best to choose wisely from the menu
Enjoy the rest of the weekend

CCP That's a great loss, it's not really possible to lose more than 2lb of REAL weight in a week anyway, if you weigh too often and at different times of day you'll get an inaccurate picture of your weight loss as fluid levels in the body change hourly (if you weigh yourself at night then again in the morning you'll easily be 2lb lighter but of course you haven't LOST 2lb overnight!). Some people can lose half a stone in a week on crash diets but they are mostly losing fluids due to decrease in carbs (which 'fix' water) and as soon as normal eating resumes the weight goes back up. I was weighing daily on my WII fit as it tells you to but found I got obsessed and really upset when one day I was a lb lighter and the next I'd put it back. I'm trying really hard to stick to once a week now. Be pleased with yourself for your 1kg off, that's a really good result and I'm sure everyone else on here agrees with me.
As for running, the C25K is fab, have a look at the NHS site. But if you have dodgy knees check with your doctor before you rush out on them!
Boodle Well done on the 1lb off! I was on Wii tennis last night, I really jump around so I call it exercise, DH just laughs! Then I switched to the boxing as it's a great workout for the bingo wings!
Just discovered I can have marmite and soft cheese on a Rye Crispbread (Lidl own)! I expected it to taste rank but it didn't and it's a nice change from toast, not to mention less calories. Probably shouldn't have followed them with cream crackers with marge and honey though! mmmmmm, simple carbs....

Thanks ragz and sparrer - I obviously was expecting too much, and you've both made me feel better about what I'be achieved. :T
Unfortunately my two pints of lime and soda somehow turned into two and half pints of cider - I really don't know how that happened- but I will be very good for the rest of the week to make up for it. Honest.
Back after a very long break!0 -
