    Ragz' link of the day

Nice article, very motivating bit about the scales not being everything... some weeks we do really well even if the lbs don't seem to fall off.

I have STS this week!! How frustrating! However, i weighed after exercise which i don't usually do. Nevermind atleast it's not a gain!! I blame the crumpet i had last night - although i was in my calories it was late at night... not needed really. Atleast it was only one. OH had wanted to share 6 between us!!!

I went for a run this morning and will either do another later or go on my exercise bike.

    Food today
    B - strawberries,raspberries and grapes
L - tuna pasta salad and potato salad (going out of date need to be eaten!)
D - 2 x cumberland sausages, jacket potato and beans

Hi everyone, Liz I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember opening a bottle of wine when I got home at 10am after leaving my best friend at the vets. I don't often drink and my son (then 17 year old) joined me. I went through the rest of the day in a haze. If it helps, take it! Big hugs to you.
Newlywed, if it's your anniversary soon you'll have to change your name!:)
I weighed in yesterday at 12.12.2! if I could just once get below 12.12 ... This happens all of the time and I was wondering if anyone has any tips that you use for that boost to even take a pound off? I know that not eating isn't an option (I wouldn't stick to it anyway!) and running etc isn't physically possible. (Too old, and bouncing boobs would black my eyes and probably register on the Richter scale) I seem to remember that SW used to have foods that 'sped up' your weight loss? Probably bran and figs!
Hope that I haven't 'gone up' again tomorrow. Maybe posting will give me the motivation to increase my exercise today. I'll try REALLY hard. Got digging in the garden to do...
Good luck everyone, well done you losers.:)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

I've decided I have reason to feel slightly annoyed with / ashamed of myself this so far this week: having cut back so far last week that I spent much of the time feeling hungry, cold and miserable, I have deliberately increased the amount I'm eating, but I've eaten more than I need on several occasions (I really didn't need to eat all the curry last night :o) and have done hardly any exercise (housework only counts if you actually do it, I find :o:o). I really need to try harder, obviously!

    So, today goes:
B - two small slices HM WM bread with a thin spreading of butter and peanut butter (slightly naughty, particularly given what I've said above, but so, so good!)
    S - fresh raspberries
L - a very green salad - lettuce, watercress and cucumber, with wasabi and ginger dressing (also green) and prawns (not green, I'm pleased to say! ;)); 7 mini seedy crispbreads
S - either a small pack of dried fruit and nuts or some fresh fruit, if I buy some
D - tomato and cheese omelette (2 eggs, very small amount of cheese); small jacket potato; half a tin of baked beans

Exercise - I need to walk up to the shops at lunchtime to return a pair of trousers that shrank the first time I washed them , and I've got to give the flat a vigorous vacuuming tonight - my DM's arriving tomorrow straight after I finish work, so I'm out of time to avoid doing it. :o
Back after a very long break!

Have you seen the date I joined MSE????? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know how you feel about that sticking point. I can only suggest changing your food completely - I was stuck at 11:12 for a few months and lost all motivation. Then last week I tried to do slimming world style (but OS of course) filling at least a third of the plate for each meal with fresh fruit or veg cooked with no fat (superfree foods) - seriously cutting down on all the bread and sugar I was eating and have suddenly lost. I have eaten loads - but loads of fruit and veg along with lean protein.

I was getting somewhat heavy handed on the "tablespoon" of oil in recipes though :o which I have also tried to cut out.

Anyway, have walked to work in the rain and the plan is:

    b: 2 wtbx and nana
s: 1 ryvita and edam - melon and strawberries
l: quinoa (coz it was left in the cupboard and no couscous) with oven baked rattatouille leftover from last night
s: more fruit and a low fat yoghurt
d: chilli wraps (though I may have rice and save some points)
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

WI tomorrow so must be good...... think I should STS as I lost alot last week and think I've shifted the booze excess of the weekend which was mainly fluid!

Yesterday I felt really hungry as I left work and realised I'd only had 650 cals B: yog & nana, L: cheese roll & chutney, S: apple & crisps, and as dinner won't be for 2 hrs I had an avocado and some raisains as I got home which whacked on 300 cals even if they are 'good' calories. ;)
Think the day was a round 1700 cals intake day as dinner was chicken in l/f jar of sauce with small amount of pots, swede and cabbage plus one glass of wine

So today am going to have a bigger lunch and stick to fruit at 5pm.
B: single portion of cereal & f/f milk 250 cals
    S: apple & necterine 100 cals
L: takeaway tub size portion of HM chilli & rice 450 cals ish
    S: apple
D: beef stroganoff (from packet) with veg (already in slow cooker) 600 ish cals

lots of will power to those of you struggling and good luck to everyone for their WI's.

Ragz- thanks for the link about scales, has changed the way I deal with them.
Bramble- I love the idea of an exercise bike, need more of a cardio work out myself so very tempted!
Eenymeeny- might be worth posting your food for the day to get some pointers from here, there is always a way forward.

    Today:
B: shr.wheat, milk, 1 prune and apricot chopped in.
    S- cottage cheese, 2 tomatoes
    L- egg and lettuce sandwhich
S- nat yog, stewed (microwaved) chopped apple, tsp sunflower seeds.
D-chicken, pot. and sweet pot. mash, peas, carrots.

I am officially counting tomatoes, including pasta sauce, as a fruit portion. Thought you would like to know :D. I did not realise also that pulses, beans, chickpeas etc count as one of our five a day!

Have a good day all :).
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.
