  • Oh my, sams, if we had to do that each time, i'd prob have to post twice a day!

However, we are told all things are fine in moderation and i have found a square (or only very slightly possibly two..) a day keeps me from eating an entire cupboard full at the weekend :)
  • Hi fellow slimmers. Well I braved the scales yesterday, after the mass chocolate eating sessions and, surprise, surprise, I had only put one and a half pounds back on! So it was back to the healthy eating plan AGAIN! I ate:

B Porridge topped with mixed berry compote
L Ham sandwich (in Milk Roll) bowl of salad (low fat dressing) and a cup of LF soup. LF berry Fromage Frais for afters.
D Fish (baked) salad and small portion HM potato wedges (made using One Cal Spray) Afters, a small meringue, mixed berries & LF yogurt poured over.

Snacks through the day - grapes, clementines and bag WW cheese bites. Oh and an ice lolly, but it only had 40 cals in it, which was miles better than the Galaxy ice cream DH had!!

Off food shopping today and I am not allowing any fattening goodies to find their way into my trolly!! I will be strong-willed, I will be strong-willed ......!!

At the risk of making myself hugely unpopular with everyone - at this time of year I'm so glad I don't like chocolate - no problems with tempting eggs / bars / truffles for me! :A (Hot cross buns are a different matter, sadly, particularly when toasted and spread with butter.)

B - oat and barley porridge with dried apple and cranberries
    S - banana
L - tuna, avocado and pesto roll (more OS than healthy as all three fillings needed using up); cucumber sticks
S - the last of the giant clementines
D - HM fish goujons with HM spicy potato wedges and either braised green veg or mushy peas
This evening - going to a pub quiz with friends, so I'll probably have a couple of drinks.

Exercise will be a walk at lunchtime to get some more dried cranberries (having eaten the last of them for breakfast), and I'll be walking the mile and a half to and from the pub this evening. (I have been doing exercise for the past few days and just keep forgetting to post it.)

Eltee - I hope you feel better and less bah soon. :)

floyd - I hope you're feeling better today.
Back after a very long break!
  • Hello, todays weigh-in 10st 13lb, loss of 2lb.

Suprised and very pleased. It can only be the fact that I have been very busy/active the last few weeks. Thankfully must have counteracted the easter lapse. Just proves I need the exercise.

Really need to vary what I eat more this week, won't type my food- plan in today, for risk of boring someone other than myself (!). Please refer to a previous list of mine :D.
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.

Define 'moderation'........ in fact define 'a square' as I can make a very large square out of the bits and pieces of choc we have left! And, compared to what I could have eaten what I may have eaten is moderate by comparison!! (and I wonder why I'm overweight!)

    Today
Bfast - wholemeal toast with marmalade
    Lunch - chicken tikka salad
Tea - undecided but probably cheese pot bake
Snack - well, maybe just a little chocolate
To those who are given much, much is expected

        £2025 in 2025 = £680.60
          Food Budget £180/9.30.

          1. I am beginning to think I might lose weight better if I went to bed straight after my tea! I was quite strong willed through the day -

B Benefit flakes, sliced banana and skimmed milk
L Beans on Nimble toast (something quick as I had been shopping and was really hungry!)
D Jacket potato with tuna and a mountain of salad. Sugar-free jelly, strawberries and FF yogurt.

Snacks through the day the usual grapes and clementines.

Then watching the snooker at night it all went to pot (pun not intended!) Found myself succumbing to 2 glasses of wine and a bag of crisps! Oh well, back to it today and must try harder!

TravellingAbuela - I cracked a bit last night, too (actually, more than a bit! :o) - I allowed myself to be persuaded to stay for 'one more' drink after the pub quiz finished, then 'one for the road'... I think I had more calories from cider than from food yesterday, and unsurprisingly woke up with a sore head this morning! :o

            Today I've had:

No breakfast because I was so late waking up :o
L - two hot white rolls (the type that come part-baked and need finishing off in the oven) with butter and smoked cheese; bunch of grapes; glass of orange juice
S - small portion of rice crackers
D - sausage, bean and mushroom pasty / calzone (which will stretch one large sausage for three meals - very OS! :money:) with a large green salad; possibly a glass or two of wine

Exercise - walked into the city centre, which is about 3 miles; I meant to walk back but got some RTC fish which I didn't think would appreciate being carted around in the hot sunshine. ;)
Back after a very long break!

I was really good yesterday... then bought some magnum whites so had one of those. Then ate a biscuit in the evening too. But I had walked about 3 miles though.

Been good today. For exercise I washed the car, stripped and re-made the bed, and did an hour of ironing.

b: 2 shredded wheat with raisins and slice strawberries
l: baguette with pastrami, low fat cheese and rocket and low fat mayo
            s: grapes
d: low fat sausages, mash, veg and gravy.

Trying not to think of food but we're out tomorrow so I have to go do packed lunches.

Tomorrow will be the chippie for tea too!!

So May 1st I'll start with a little more commitment :o

(just looked at slimming world stuff and am debating it - like the idea of a list of food you can eat as much as you like - but OH says it's a waste of money :o - I'm just looking for any extra motivation)

Do you know what newlywed, that sounds a good idea! :T New month, new start! Today I might just graze to my heart's content whilst browsing my low-fat cookbooks for ideas and recipes I have not tried yet, meal-plan for the week etc.
