Avid follower of this thread but never posted. You guys are an inspiration
I've been on the wagon for about 2.5 months and have gone from 13 st 2lb to 11 6. Mainly t hrough os type healthy eating and lots of exercise. Recently however i haven't lost a thing - i have officially plateau'd! Haven't lost anything for about 3 weeks now.
Any tips you guys can share? All help, kick up the kaboosh, advice much appreciatedI see most people seem to be giving themselves a little treat for Easter, well, as long as we keep moving...
Have a lovely weekend everyone:beer:The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.

Evening all.
financially_gaga - very well done on losing all that weight! :T I can't offer any helpful advice, I'm afraid, but I'm sure you'll crack it soon.
I did my weekly weigh this morning and found I've lost 1.5kg this week - this is a truly brilliant thread. :j
Brunch - two HX buns with a small amount of butter; banana
Snack - portion of dried fruit and nuts; glass of OJ
Pre-dinner snack (because dinner won't be ready for at least an hour and I'm hungry) - handful of rice crackers; glass of ginger beer
Dinner - healthy chilli con carne (with loads of veg - it looks really colourful!); mixed salad with a drizzle of dressing; olive bread, no butter; possibly (OK, probably
) a glass or two of red wine
Back after a very long break!0 -
Well done CCP :j and everyone who is doing well. Still enjoying
the sunshine!
We are so busy catching up with relatives and friends this Easter that I am finding it hard to stay on track. Rich food is tempting me all the time, and I have not made time to exercise. Not eating loads of food though, just the wrong type!
Just typing the above sounds like a poor excuse. A long walk is planned tomorrow and to be honest, I can't wait to climb back on the healthy-eating wagon. Good luck allHealthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Hmm so still can't seem to lose any more weight. Belly is still too big. Just tried on all my summer clothes and hmmm quite a bit was not a pretty sight!!!!
so I'm back again again again again....
I seriously don't want to get to the point that OH's ex is at. She is huge, just had a gastric sleeve and for her wedding anniversary her OH was taking her out for a meal where she can only eat soup!!!! All she's allowed is soup and milkshake. Whilst I like soup.....
Anyway. Time to make a change.
So from tomorrow:
there will be slightly smaller portions
there will be more drinking of water
there will be more steaming of veg
there will be less roasting of veg
there will be an attempt at a food diary (though I often "forget" to write in it).
I want to get rid of a minimum of a stone, an ideal of a stone and a half and a dream of two stone!!
Just need the motivation - this week I am off work and busy so hopefully less work stress and boredom eating will help.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend x
I seem to have put on several pounds ? ? ?I know I have been a little on the indulgent side but I wouldn't usually put this much on.

Hello again! Well after 6 days on the (sort of) diet I ventured onto the scales yesterday morning and I had lost 2 lbs!! The first time they had gone under 10 stone in 3 years! I was dead chuffed! Then I ate a Cadbury's mini egg filled Easter egg that my DD had given me! All in one go! As I had already sinned I thought I had nothing to lose by then eating 2 Hot Cross Buns, spread liberally with my HM Bramble Jam! And then I had the cheek to have a salad for lunch!!
DS and GF visited us in the afternoon and brought me a giant Galaxy egg containing all sorts of goodies. When that has been eaten I shall get back on the slimming wagon and report back! I hope you all have more willpower than me!!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Well done on the weight loss - I could do with some of that! Tho since posing last night I have already been a bit naughty
Yesterday - I forgot to post I had a 30min walk and about 30 mins on Wii tennis. Am making a resolution to do about an hour on the Wii tennis each day - I actually enjoy it but just forget it is there. I do throw myself about a lot when playing (much to everyone's amusement :rotfl: ) so perhaps the extra movement will get the pounds moving a little.
B: 2 little oaty biscuits and 2 cups of tea with splash of oat milk
L: 1 slice of lentil peanut loaf, about 1 ladleful of colcannon (whole batch had only 1 tbsp spread.)
Not sure what I fancy for dinner later on...Love and compassion to all x0 -
TA - you're not the only one whose will-power crumbled on Easter Sunday - I don't like chocolate so I was safe in that respect, but I still ate so badly yesterday I didn't dare post on here what I ate.
Today's being a bit better:
B - two wholemeal rolls with lean bacon and sliced tomato; apple
L - wholemeal roll filled with two slices of smoked cheese and lettuce; bunch of grapes; portion of honey-roasted peanuts (OK, I'm only being a bit better today)
D - HM cheese and bacon quiche (if it works OK, anyway - I haven't made a quiche in years) with mixed salad and new potatoes; possibly a glass of wine if I'm feeling indulgent
I had a long walk this morning so I've hopefully worked off some of yesterday's naughtiness.Back after a very long break!0 -

Well, so much for behaving better yesterday. MY HM quiche was so delish I couldn't stop nibbling at it, with the result that quite a lot of it was missing by the time it got put in the fridge.
:o:o I'm determined to get back on track now and leave the quiche alone!
B - sliver of quiche while preparing my packed lunch (err... I'll leave it alone from now on, honest!); small bowl of muesli with sliced banana and ss milk
S - bunch of grapes
L - slice of quiche with mixed salad and new potatoes dressed in pesto
S - giant clementine (it's about the size of a cricket ball )
D - stir fried veg and noodles dressed with a drizzle of sweet chilli sauce; glass of white wine
Eltee - I'm glad you had a nice time off work.Back after a very long break!0
