Hi everyone
Such nice weather out!
I am trying to summon extra willpower so I lose a couple of pounds by my holidays in the next couple of weeks.
Breakfast: Small bowl (about 3 tbsp) cheerios and oat milk. Milky coffee.
Lunch: Will have hm artichoke and cannellini hummus on rye crispbread. Apple. Probs another coffee or tea.
Dinner: Tagliatelle (will have about 40g I think) with some walnut pieces, shredded dried figs, olives and hm soy cream cheese.
At some point I will probably cave and have some dairy-free ice cream but will be restrained and have 1 scoop in a wafer cornetLove and compassion to all x0 -
Hi all, I yet again feel better for an earlier night so think the batteries will be re-charged for the easter break.
I didn't manage the soup yesterday the office is about 25 degrees so a tin of oxtail soup was not something I could face. Had a prawn salad wrap instead.
Today:
B: 1 piece of toast, l/f spread & r/sugar jam
S: banana
L: prob tuna mayo sandwich or wrap
S: still have clemetine & crisps from yesterdaychicken (well if that what the pot from the freezer actually contains :rotfl: really must label things!)
hopefully dog walking with a friend tonight and a long slow hill is involved so that should shape the thighs a bit or just beat them into wobbly jelly
Hope your all enjoying the sun and maybe eating a bit more salad.0 -
Hello everyone. Would you mind if I came back and joined this thread, please? I was on here a while ago (about a year, possibly? I can't quite remember) but, since leaving, my weight hasn't so much crept up as skyrocketed.
Very well done to everyone who's continued with rather more determination than I did.
I need to lose about 10kg (22lb ) to get me back to where I was last summer, and my aim this time is to keep the weight off which is the bit I always find most difficult.
So far today I've had:
Breakfast - shreddies with semi-skimmed milk
Snack - kiwi fruit with LF tropical fruit yoghurt (an experiment which I won't be repeating - the kiwi didn't go with the yoghurt at all and tasted actively nasty. If I hadn't been so hungry the whole lot would probably have ended up in the bin)
Lunch - pasta salad (bought, but on special offer so it was MS if not OS) with cherry tomatoes and a chunk of cheese; bunch of grapes
Dinner - chicken and ham supreme (in a LF creme fraiche sauce) with brown rice and steamed savoy cabbage
I've got to go to the bank at lunchtime for work purposes, but I intend to walk back the long way round so I get some exercise.
[STRIKE]I'll update the rest of my day later.[/STRIKE] Done!
Back after a very long break!0 -
So yesterday
B: Porridge and 2 teaspoons of sugarr
S: Ham sandwichChips and gravey
S: Packet of french fries
T: Pasta and dolmio sauce
Today (not been too well today)Turkey sandwich and a tangarine
S: 3 nice biscuits
T: Cottage pie0 -
welcome back CCP and hi to everyone else.
Well after a conversion with my dad along the lines of
Him: what have you been up to then
Me: really busy at the mo but have just replaced the floor
Him: so your not busy at the moment then
Me: no said I was busy
Him: oh we're not up to much
Me: :wall:
Then having my mum staying with me (ps they split up over 20yrs ago) shouting at the telly and getting annoyed with the news I gave in and had a couple of glasses of wine - I admit I don't normally need a lot to 'give in' but I really feel I'd earned these
Mum also loves to iron but has ruined 2 irons so far so I made sure everything was done and then she sounds disappointed she couldn't do anything. I've also made it clear I want to potter in the garden over the easter break (ie please don't go and do everything today)
So I maybe on the verge of a bottle of wine with every meal by the time I come back after easter!!!
Hope you all enjoy the time off and get out in the sun.0 -
Thanks for the welcome back, mlz. Good luck with your Easter weekend!
Today:
B - muesli with ss milk
S - a work leaving do so 5 bite-sized canapes (I don't know what they were except that the last one didn't taste of anything that's meant to be eaten _pale_), followed by two mini raspberry cakes to take the taste away.
L - small chicken salad with HM honey mustard dressing and a brown roll; small pack dry roasted seeds (); apple
S - small bunch of grapes
D - mushroom, aubergine and paneer curry (not very healthy but it needs eating) with a small portion of brown rice (I cooked too much rice last night) and one or two mini brown pitta breads (depending how 'mini' they are)
Evening - out with friends so I'll probably have a couple of drinks, but I intend to be good and only have a couple!
Exercise - 40 minute walk at lunchtime; 50 minute walk this evening to get to / from the pub where I'm meeting my friends.Back after a very long break!0 -
Hi all, :easter_os (<<< what is going on there?!).
Todays weigh-in 11st 1lb, no change from last week.
My lack of planning and is to blame. Need to learn to cope with changes of routine, without blowing my goals out of the water.
Onwards and upwards, enjoy the sun everyone, its amazing isn't it! :cool:Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
B: 2 hot cross buns with butter (eep!)
Cheese and ham sandwich with a tangarine and cadburys mini roll
T: Mac cheese with bacon bits and boiled eggs and cheese on the top
Not a very healthy day but this is my first week of trying to cut back, and if I was eating how I've been eating I would have had at least 2 chocolate bars and a packet of crisps and probably quite a few biscutis too :P So far I've had a v good week0 -
Brunch - fruit salad with LF fruit yoghurt; two toasted hot cross buns with a scraping of butter and HM raspberry jam
(well, it is Easter!
)
Afternoon snack - handful of dried fruit and nuts; glass of OJ
Dinner - HM salami and mushroom pizza (I made the dough with 1/4 wholemeal flour, which might make it a tiny bit healthier?); couple of glasses of red wine
I haven't eaten particularly healthily today, but I spent most of the day hauling buckets of water around (washing the car and then all the windows on my flat) so I hope I've worked off some of the unhealthiness.
lovetopaint - isn't this weather glorious? I could get used to this!Back after a very long break!0 -
