    Sn - banana
Lu - tuna salad sarnie, l/f yog
    Sn - plum
D - Chicken, spuds, carrots, psb, gravy mmmmmmmmmm

Walking - half hour lunchtime walking club (BRISK, I tell you BRISK!).
    C25K session - a.m. or p.m.? haven't decided yet - watch this space.........

Was doing well, right up until my colleague fetched cakes in for her birthday. I had an individual Mr K's apple pie - does it count as one of my five-a-day?!;)

Did my C25K session this morning - rather enjoyed it even though a bit chilly, had to wear my gloves.

Am off work from tomorrow afternoon til after Easter - got lots of walking/jogging/running planned so if I don't 'see' you before then, have a lovely time...

I did ok monday (will power) and ok on tuesday (warm sunny day) but today (colder and dull) i'm struggling! ate my crisps shortly after breakfast  . only have a certain amount of food and very little money with me so will have to control myself :rotfl:

    Today:
B: single cereal pack and splash of milk
    S: crisps at 9.30AM!
L: 2 chicken wings left over from sunday roast plus a cous cous snack pot
S: apple, necterine and celemine to go.
D: sausages but not sure with what yet.

if I get home and am hungry (that should be think i'm hungry!) then I've got a l/f yogurt in the fridge, must eat that and get out dog walking so I can't raid the fridge further and I can get back to cook tea.

I'm ok once I've had a main meal, don't tend to snack afterwards and yesterday I stuck to flavoured water, rather than wine, so I'm more on track than I was.

    Hi all,

I don't know if anyone has any suggestions for me! I work full time and have now jumped on the dieting bandwagon as I need to lose a LOT of weight. My question is, how do I manage this on an o/s budget, as a lot of the oldstyle things seem to consist of soupy type recipes(really not coming up to the season for it), or stuff thats not easily adapted for the "width and girth challenged" amongst us! I have bought some "meat substitute" as is healthier so can hopefully create some recipes and adapt from that, I also have no idea what to take for lunch as by the time I get home I'm cream crackered and by the time I have cleaned what needs cleaning and fed everyone I keep going back to boring old sandwiches!! I have checked the threads for some "inspiration" but I am not sure how my budget will cope with "eating healthily" although saying that I didn't think we ate too badly before, I have been mortified at how much fat is in certain things-we always have eaten fruit and veg, and dinners were things like "sausage, veggies & mash" etc etc I have checked all the low fat alternatives and the prices just seem flipping horrendous!! If anyone has successfully achieved this or has some flashes of inspiration for me please let me know :)

    Thanks all x

Not the answer to all your questions, but there are lots of delicious summer soups (my favourite is vichyssoise ie cold leek and potato soup, miss out the cream for dieters)
    here are a few more:

How about just taking sandwich fillings for lunch? Or change to wholemeal bread and have one sandwich fewer?

I need to loss a LOT of weight was well but unfortunately I dont feel well enough to deal with it at the moment but I plan to go to slimming world as I find that I am able to adapt the family's meals so that we all eat the same and I loss weigh. There are some recipes in the groccery Challenge thread that have been adapted to Slimming world.

Here's another thread - 'Weight Loss The Old Style Way'. It's pretty massive as it's up to part seven now, and something I may well pitch into myself soon too.

we have some SW-adapted recipes in the GC recipe index - bottom of post #6 - that are worth checking out.

I'm facing the same challenge myself, katylou, I've been looking at different ways of serving salads and assorted beans and pulses as I'm not enjoying eating meat at the moment.
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

    Hi katylou,

As your thread has dropped down the board I've added it to the one that happierdays and ida suggested where you should get lots of advice and support.
