Have had an apalling weekend diet wise (or a great weekend indulging, depends how you look at it). Thats in the past now, so back on track today.

Bought some frozen coley portions to try this week, in my quest to vary what I eat each day. Of course the kids and OH get to try out my new finds too. Mixed reactions.

Keep going all, will weigh in Thursday :).
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.

Thanks for the welcome mlz1413, I googled to find the right weight for my height (5'4") and came across a NHS calculator which said I'm healthy with BMI of 25. I was :D because although I'm not grossly overweight I didn't think I'm a healthy size. Admittedly I'm at the top end of the healthy range.

Do you mind saying what your BMI is mlz1413? What weight are you aiming for?

I don't mean to offend anyone who is bigger than me or same size (sorry if I have) but I hope to nip it in the bud and get rid of the bits that wobble when I break into a jog. :o

Today I've had sensible meals and one bar of chocolate as a treat which is fantastic for me. Also haven't spent any money on food I don't need!

Not too bad I guess - didn't need the slice of toast though! :o

well done to everyone, and to those who have not had a good week, better luck this week.
A good weigh in for me this morning , another 3lbs lost so over halfway there, OH lost 5lb this week, so between us in 8 weeks we have lost 50lb's.
Welcome springiness, we still have snacks as I know we will stay on the straight and narrow longer, all the snacks I have in are approx 100 cals, so corn snacks, kit-kats etc, I also have pink & white wafers 50 cals each, and my fave toffee popcorn.

I've just used the same calculator and i'm 23.1 so the high end of healthy too. I've already lost over a stone so I'm ok with where I am but would love to lose 4lbs so i'm in the 9 stone bracket, admittedly it would be 9' 13'!! :rotfl: In the good old days I was 9' 2' but I've come to realise that that will not be seen again :( . I'm aiming, like you, to shift the wobbly bits and i'm in my 40's now so wanted to do it now!

    Hi folks,
I'm still here and hanging in there. Found out on Friday that my contract is going to be extended by 18 months so I'm not unemployed just yet :D

Now the dread has lifted a bit I'm not stress eating so I've been on the wagon pretty consistently with no slip ups as yet.

    B: Porridge with skimmed milk

L: HM veggie chilli and brown rice (small portion), bowl of strawberries

D: Jacket potato with a huge salad and tuna with red onion and lime juice

S: HM pumpkin pie, surprisingly low in sugar and fat :o

I've been trying to stick with eating porridge for breakfast even though I really don't like it, because it fills me up so much more than anything else I've tried. I allow myself something more exciting at weekends like a grilled bacon sandwich or egg and soldiers but during the week I keep it boring :p

Glad to see so many of you still sticking with it :T
