Only 1lb loss this week but as long as I'm not gaining.
Bramble1 hope that you didn't think that I was being cheeky. 'Struggling to eat more than 1 meal a day' has never been a problem to me.:D
I've just changed doctors and had blood tests which I haven't had for years. The results show moderate risk of heart problems in the next 10 years which I take to mean that I need to get rid of this extra weight. (I'm also a fat old person!):D
Good luck everyone:beer:The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.

Hi folks,
Well after a turbulent month I'm back on board. My Dad has been in hospital following a heart attack but is out now and recovering well so its back to normal with even more motivation to be as healthy as I can for as long as I can
I was really good last week and have lost 2 lb as a result but its 2 lb off the 6 or 7 that I put on after Christmas and during Feb so I'm trying to get back to my previous target weight. I have also noticed that because I haven't been out mountain biking much over the winter, my fitness is terrible and the 2 times we have been recently, I have really struggled so more effort needed there to get back on track.
B: Yoghurt with melon and a few grapes
L: HM lentil and tomato soup with a small wholemeal rollOven baked haddock with HM potato wedges and mushy peas
one of my favourites
S: Small banana
Well done to everyone sticking to plan0 -
Hi Floyd good to see you posting again, hope your Dad is ok, what a stressful time for you!
I'm posting early to confess:
B: single pack of cereal, splash of milk with tiny sprinkle of sugar (1/10 of spoon)
S: crisps - eaten already!
I knew they were in my bag and I kept thinking about them, so decided to eat them and get the cravings over with! - gosh I have no will power against the flavoured potato slice
So better be good at lunch time! need to buy something today so must go in and ask for a ham salad straight away no dithering!!
Dinner is meatballs, sainsbo receipe from one of their plans a week or so ago. So must control my portion size too.
No alcohol....... she orders herself0 -
Heeellllooooo,,,,,,,, echo, echo.......
It's very quite on here! Hope everyone is busy exercising (running round after family maybe) and that everyone is well.
Just wanted to say I'm down to 10' 1 :j finally getting off my plateau.
We're out for an all you can eat chinese tonight, a friends birthday, so I must NOT take this to be a personal challenge
We have meal planned all weekend and most of next week, and its finally payday on monday so will do and get some fresh veg & fruit then.
Hope you all have a good weekend.0 -
I would have come on yesterday, but then I'd have to have confessed that I had an eclair...... darn it, told you anyway!
Today I am walking home (about an hours walk in all) unless it rains. Every little helps.
Bfast - weetabix
Lunch - veggie wraps
Tea - chicken in lemon sauce with veggies (no pots)
Snacks - Oat biscuits (will aim for no more than 2)

Hi folks,
Yesterday was a good day for me, no snacking even though I was out with my friend
B: Falafel wrap
L: Green veg soup & 1 slice wholemeal breadHM chickpea curry and rice with a mini naan
S: nothing
Today will be tough because its someones birthday so the office is full of cake and treats and we are going out for dinner but I chose where we are going so I opted for a deli-type restaurant as I can have lots of nice bits like hummous and olives with a flatbread rather than having a big stodgy meal or they do really good salads too
B: Small square of chocolate traybake and a cup of tea
L: Green veg soup and a wholemeal toasted bagelEither the veggie platter which has small bits of hummous, aubergine pate, tabouleh, olives, feta, 3 bean salad, dolmades and crostini or the lebanese salad which has chickpeas, olives, sun blushed tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, sumac and vinaigrette
I will see which I fancy at the time and as I'm driving I won't add any extra with wine!
Hoping to do some exercise this weekend and get back into it again0 -
Hiya!
Floyd I hope that your Dad is making a good recovery. At times like these calories are the last thing you think of isn't it?
Good and bad here, spent yesterday digging in the garden so that should help, but meeting up with friends tonight and we usually have a takeaway! This only happens about once in 3 months so not a regular thing but I try to eat as little as possible. Have tried to persuade OH to share one portion but he won't hear of it! Has anyone got any tips of lower calories options? I prefer Chinese, usually lemon chicken or egg foo yung and try to eat only half of the boiled rice.
Have a good weekend everyone:)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.

Try to go for a stir-fried dish rather than one laden with sauce, most chinese food is fairly low fat but takeaways tend to 'fat up' their dishes for the western market! Their soups are low fat and filling so you could have a soup followed by a few satay chicken sticks and rice or a chow mein. As long as you don't go OTT with the portions then you'll be fine, you;re allowed a treat. (there's no way my OH would 'share' a dish either!)June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
