I think the small snacks are a good idea Esther. I am a teacher and have a big energy dip at the end of the school day. In Scotland the schools go back in a week's time, so I have been experimenting with snacks. I am finding that a homemade version of a Graze box is helpful. Just been to Julian Graves today and stocked up on seeds, almonds and dried cranberries as all on offer. I bought lots of tiny plastic boxes in Poundland and fill them once a week with whatever mixtures of seeds/ nuts/ dried fruit I fancy. I am keeping the portions small though.
Eaten today:
B. Porridge - then went for long walk with local walking group.
l. a seeded pitta spread with chickpea and red pepper pate + a bowl of salad
s. HM Graze box
d. Cod fillet, peas & cauliflower + sliced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of natural very low fat yoghurt.0 -
Today I have eaten:
Brunch....glass OJ, ham salad sandwich, tea;
Dinner....sm steak, 3 potatoes, lots cabbage, apple sponge, ice cream, tea;
Sn......mini choc roll, apple.
Feeling peckish again, might have sandwich or maybe banana.
Good luck everyone

Prudent, the graze box sounds good. Seem to remember reading about that a few years ago. They said to fill a lunch box with all sorts of salad stuff, seeds etc., and graze continuously throughout the day. I think though that if I had a box in front of me like that I would have it all eaten in the morning before lunch. I weigh out my dried fruit and just make my cereal up to an ounce with it, or have a couple of dried apricots cut up small and mixed in yoghurt. Could go overboard otherwise.Second purse £101/100
