Boodle, your "bad" point the other day was fine, you should really be having 3 meals and two small snacks a day, but instead of the bread it would be a good idea to have something protein rich, so maybe a few almonds or chick peas, something like that? Or have some hummus made up in the fridges and have it with some crudites? To keep your sugar levels constant, you should always include some sort of protein in your snacks and meals, instead of lots of carbs. But you're doing well, you should be pleased with your progress.

Thanks Jackie :) Was a bad few weeks at the Boodles' for all of us, but hopefully things are on the up. Need to change siggy tho as now 6lb to go, not 4lb - broke my resolve and stood on the scales :o

Prudent you are doing really well - such an inspiration! I really need to find time to get more exercise (beyond that of pushing 2 heavy children up hills and lifting my 4year old around pretty much constantly every day :wall:) Started my sit-ups again yesterday when waiting for bath to run so that really works for me.

On my mother's advice, I am having more of a hearty breakfast and will go back to my lighter lunches to help with the ickness mid-morning.

B: 30g instant oats made with water + 3 dates. 1 slice of Best of Both with 1/4 avocado, about 1 tsp veg pate + mustard. Cup of tea with splash of oat milk.

If I get peckish later (what am I saying? Am peckish now :( ) I will keep to a couple of walnuts/almonds.

L: Will make some thinnish red lentil + veg soup for me.

T: Plan on a couple of hm oatcakes, a couple of nuts + poss HM cake bar (about size of those boxes of those WW/Good for You cake bars from the supermarket.) Cup of tea with splash of oatmilk.

D: Cottage pie (with lentils, yeast extract + veggies) and will serve myself not too much of the mash. Spinach.

If I have supper it might just be a cup of tea with splash of oat milk, or perhaps a couple of oatcakes if nibbly.
Love and compassion to all x

Boodle - I am finding it helpful to see how much vegetarian food you eat. I am not veggies, but DD and partner both are, so it is easier to make veggie meals.

    B. Porridge + a peach

    s - pumkin seeds

l - soup + marmite on soda bread + a banana (going into town and don't want to be tempted while shopping)

    D. Haven't decided yet.

hi all, I was saved from myself on Friday as I was given a load of veggies from a friends veg patch, so dinner was a varition on ratatouille (corgette & peppers being main ingredients)

I did have fish & chips saturday but had only had toast & tin of soup with 2 slices of bread during day.

Yesterday was a roast as we had our online shopping delivered (lots missing and I refused the subsistutes as they were completely different), so will probably not go for a sunday delv again.

I also made a chocolate corgette cake which is very yummy, the whole cake has 4000 cals  but I managed to get 20 slices out and have given a lot away.

    Today:
B: 1 slice of bread with spread (I was in a hurry)
    S: L/fat crisps
L: egg mayo & cress sandwich with slice of HM cake
    S: choc milkshake (naughty me)
D: prawns, tomatoes and corgettes (which should be the last of HG veg!)

Ok, I have managed not to but any chocolate or anything bad today. But didn't have time for breakfast so didn't have any

    So

Breakfast ... 1 thin ginger biscuit
Lunch ....Chicken tikka sandwich on a large wholemeal teacake with salad and low fat mayo (can't stand a dry sandwich)

Was seriously hungry this aft (shaking - think it's cause I'm not used to not having lots of sugar :-S) so ended up having a couple of handfuls of crisps and half a nutella sandwich :-(

Dinner ... Either mustard chicken pasta thing or sticky pork and rice

Back on wii fit tonight and ironing should burn a bit of fat lol.

Have had 4 teas today which is less than usual, trying to cut back!! and managed one pint of water so far

    Hope everyone else is ok.

How can people resist chocolate cake? I would be convincing myself that cake only had 4 calories - total :D

I am encouraging dd to eat up the things that are left in the snack cupboard. I bought some tiny plastic containers in Poundland today and filled them with a mixture of nuts, seeds and dried fruit. Tried to keep the portions small. I don't want to give up seeds and nuts as I rarely eat meat and they are good protein.

Sam - I am working hard on drinking more water.

What a difference a day makes - clamboured onto scales, looked with only one eye (why oh why!!) and was pleased to see a 3lb drop. Yay. But........ then spent many hours at the hospital with DS, came home stressed and worried and managed to consume cookies, chocolate, lemon cake slice, in fact anything I could get! Ah well. The honesty is that I know I comfort eat, and I needed a bit of comfort. Onwards....

    Today bfast - weetabix
lunch - brie and tomatoe wholmeal bap, nectarine yoghurt
    tea - fish, rice, veggies
plus likely to eat the last two Nairn spice biscuits lurking in my cupboard

Exercise will be limited to stress!

Snack - Was starving by 11 so two handfuls of grapes
