Good morning everyone, hope your all well.
As we did`nt have any scales when we started our weight loss i measured my hips as an indicater. Last monday when i started they were 51inch, TODAY they are 49inch !!! I know you lose more in first couple of weeks but i am so pleased about it .Hubby has had to tighten his belt a notch so he`s also losing as well.0 -
JoJoB - Glad you're feeling more positive today
nuttywoman - Congrats on the inch loss :T I don't have scales either and generally go by how loose/tight my clothes are (although do weigh myself at the gym if i'm feeling brave).
So, my weekend wasn't the best (read: terrible!) food-wise but I don't feel guilty about it. I enjoyed a lovely homecooked meal with OH yesterday without worrying about calories/fat and it was really nice not to have to worry. Also as tomorrow is the start of lent I'll be waving goodbye to all sweets and chocolate until April  Lovely OH treated me to a final (large!) bag of pick&mix on Saturday which I also thoroughly enjoyed. My only exercise for the weekend was a long 12.5K run I went out for yesterday whilst OH was shouting at the rugby on TV.
So a weekend of indulgences yes, but it wasn't out-of-control and was most definitely a one-off. I think it's important to recognise things like that because we can't all be good 100% of the time and it's all about moderation  I don't know what's gotten into me today!
Today's plan:
B: Porridge made with water, half banana, spinkle of raisins
L: Tuna and spinach salad, mullerlight yog, pear
Snack: Another pearNot sure yet, doing meal plan now
Exercise: 5K run at the gym + 150 situps
Offering a big helping hand to anyone who needs to climb back the wagon today like myself, we can do this :j0 -
I'm just trying to keep to between 1200 and 1500 calories a day, it's very haphazard at the moment though.
This is just what I'm trying to do JoJoB calories wise. I'm finding Foodfocus.co.uk really useful as I can log precise amounts without having to do any complicated calculations. Also you can alter the parameters and add exercise to offset your food. PM if you want to chat in a quieter environment.
I've been there a lot of times in the past with the appearance thing, especially with my hair. So I focussed on making sure that my nails were clean and tidy, some makeup on as well always made me feel better.
I got round the hair thing...I now wear a wig, as my hair is so poor. I used to cry so much and quite often over my hair. One thing less to worry about most of the time now, but when it comes to having a new one I hate getting them fitting right etc etc. Also when I don't have a good new one to wear and the old one is getting fuzzy and starting to look 'wiggy'.
I've just done my 2nd weekly weigh in, have lost 2.25kg total, unfortunately only 300g of that was this week. I feel I should have done better. It's always harder when DH is home Fri-Sun.
Today OK so far, have had yoghurt, banana and honey for breakfast.
Lunch will be salad based and not sure about later on.
Hope you all have a good day."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi all, congrats and hugs as needed to you all - I haven't posted all weekend and it seems to have been a real roll coaster of posts reading through.
I wrote off last week as a 'do what you want week' seeing as that is what I did!! My boss upset me friday afternoon and my fella left his alarm set for 5.45am Sat & Sun because he is thoughtless what-not and hadn't turned the alarm off from friday morning. So I have seethed most of the weekend - hopefully burning off a lot of calories I consumed (I wish!) :rotfl:
Went shopping with a full tummy and have bought sensible things;
B: all week should be plain yogurt with a banana
L: today cheese, salad & some relish for flavour
S: crispstonight is pie which is 600 cals (!) so I am going to have just vegs and no potatoes to try and compensate.
Hope you all have a good week.0 -
What a weekend. Hugs to those that need it!
Well after having a bit of a wobbly last week I still managed to lose 0.9kg! Have no idea how I managed that but quite happy to keep that up! So that's me at a total of 2.5kg since Christmas.
I decided to go shopping yesterday as I was in serious need of new trousers for work. Usually this sends my mood spiralling into oblivion but ended up finding two pairs that fit perfectly! So I've started this week on a much more positive note than the last so hopefully I can keep it up!
Hope everyone else is having a good start to the week too!0 -
I'm in a dilema about going out tonight. Don't want to drive as I always use that excuse to save my diet and spend the night on diet coke. I've had a crap time since Xmas in my personal life so really want a drink, but my weigh-in is tomorrow and I over-ate at the weekend!!
Normally I wouldn't worry about this too much but I only have 2 weigh-ins still my birthday and need to lose 2lbs by then to reach a mini target I set myself....decisions, decisions!!
Today:
Breakfast - Porridge
Lunch - Soup, WW Crisps, Low fat Yogurt
Dinner - Gammon & Leek Pasta0 -
Feeling low today. Had a guest last night and made some dinner, just a simple dhal and pilau rice. I went back for seconds and it got commented on, as well as uncomplimentary things said about how I was going to be the biggest mother in the playground.
don't know how old you are, but we could all waste our lives worrying over this stuff until we look back on it and realise we may have been a little overweight, but we looked pretty good. this older man, is he george clooney, or are there a few rude comments you could make to him if you werent too kind and well mannered?- if you ever make him a meal again, start with grapefruit and follow it with an undressed green salad, then fruit salad - he obv has weight issues - and if he makes any other comments, say...all right george clooney, pack it in. unless its your dad...
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
