Got my PAC from O2 tonight, they offered me nothing. Probably going to move to Orange. Does anyone know if Orange give discount to employees of their corporate acccount customers like O2's Open scheme?

Jemclajess - I'm going to recycle via Mazuma, they're offering £185 and they're quick payers.

Thanks. Do Mazuma send you your phone back though (if you pay for send it back) if they don't offer you what you want or offer you nothing depending on the condition of the phone cause I don't want to send it away and then receive nothing for it or less than say £50!!

    TIA

I'm sure they do, they would have to tell you by law, as they would be changing the contract of sale with you. I sent my sisters phone away and received a cheque two days later for the full amount.

Also I'd suggest taking your iPhone to CEX if you have a store near you. For good condition ones, I got £226 for my iPhone 3g and now I got the 3gs. So that should be more than enough to get an iPod touch!

Had my despatch e-mail from Orange saying that my phone is on it's way with DPD and they will text me when it is out for delivery :j
Popped into town and spoke to someone on the shop floor in CEX and he had a quick look at my Iphone and he said that it is grade 3 (it has a few scratches around the outside but the screen is perfect) and he had just got about £170 for his grade 2 Iphone and he said I would probably get about £150. Hope I can get this for it as this will be just enough for my Ipod touch!!!!
Thanks for all your help everyone...

Just got the phone earlier today. I'm at work at the moment so can't really do anything, but I quite like it already. The keypad is tricky to text on, but I'm sure I'll get used to it!

    Hi there,
Waiting for my Blackberry 9700 to come on Monday and just wondered if you get a memory card with it on contract with Orange or is it something that I have to buy. Brought a case on e-bay on Friday but totally forgot about the memory card?
Not sure the 256mb on board memory will be enough!!!
    Thanks in advance

Still haven't even figured out where a memory card would go! It's a Micro SD one you need too if that helps

end of contract is fast approaching and have rang orange to see what they offer me today.

    this is what was offered

    free 9700 18 mths contract
    600 mins
    300 text
    bb services and internet
    @ £30 per month

still not the £25 I was hoping for so still holding out, other wise will go for the 3 deal with quidco. I need to give notice to orange next week so lets see if retentions do any better.

Very similair to my deal, apart that I get only 300 text, but I am happy. :j
  • Just another update and a question - sorry!!
Got the Blackberry 9700 Monday and lufcgirl you are right in that it is totally different to the Iphone and the browser is definately slower and harder to navigate. There is so much to learn about it and I have spent hours exploring all the different menu's etc.. and still feel like I have alot more to learn!! I do love the clear screen and have already brought a screen cover and case to protect it!!
I took my Iphone to CEX last Wednesday and I knew that other than the screen which was perfect because I kept a screen cover over it it wasn't in brilliant condition and I was surprised to get £182 because it was unlocked (I was sent a code from O2 a couple of months ago but hadn't tested it out!!). I ordered my Ipod Touch the same day and have just set that up (because I have spent so much time on the Blackberry:D) and have money left over!!
Must say that I ordered a memory card on Sunday night before the 9700 came and should have waited because it has a 2GB memory card with it!! I only paid £6.99 from Ebay for a 4GB card anyway so I'm not too worried!!
Glad to see others are getting good deals on this phone and better deals than I got which was the same as alot of you but over 24 months not 18!! Never been with Orange before and just wondered if anyone could confirm whether you can get an early upgrade in your contract and if so which month it is? Also I set up an online account on Friday to see my minutes etc.. and was surprised to see I had been charged for what I now know was a delivery report for my texts (I've switched it off!!) Does anyone know if I get charged to listen to my voicemails (which I haven't set up yet!!) I am on Panther 30 Websave.
    Many thanks in advance....
