Looking at what mrs pickle said. I think she has been offered the deal 6 months at £30.00 then the remaining 18 months at £25.00.

This not the best deal out there.

    First 18 @£25 remaining 6 @ £30. No idea whether this is a good deal. T-mobile could only do £40 a month.
  • Are these any good for internet browsing? Have an iPhone 3G contract just expired and don't want to buy a new iPhone 3Gs as no real point. This BB seems a good deal for a lower cost.
  • Here I go again, still negotiating OH contract. So far I think I have got pretty good deals for myself and my sister.. but OH is proving hard work

After a lengthy (45min) chat the best I have got:

    BB Bold
    18 month contract
    400 min
    550 texts
    Unlimited landline
    BB Bundle
    £49.99 for the phone
    £25 per month

    He is currently on a £25 a month contract (18months due up next month) with £10 discount= £15 a month + £5 orange care so £20 a month

We have been with Orange about 3 years and he has gone over at least 4 times in 18months ie £40-£60 bills

They have said tonight that they are only calculating on last 6 months, and he has lyalty of £300

Trying my best to negotiate the phone free as I did for myself and my sister...

If at first you dont succeed try, try again..

    :-)

Hi, I'm on the verge of ringing Orange to see if they will give me this offer too but just wanted to ring O2 retentions first to see if they can match it but I very much doubt it!! :(
Just wondered that if (and I suspect it will be more like when rather than if) they can't match it do I then have to ask for my pac code and also tell them there and then that I want to cancel my contract (I'm on the £20 p/m simplicity tariff which I can cancel at any time after finishing my Iphone contract this month) or should I ring Orange first to make sure that I can get the same offer as you first. :undecided
I'm just worried that if I ring Orange first and they offer me a good deal and try O2 next to be told they can't match it, that when I ring Orange back I won't get the same deal I was first offered!!
Don't know alot about cancelling contracts but just wondered if I ask for my pac code then this automatically cancelled my contract with O2 cause I have read on here that you have 30 days to use it?
Please help me make up my mind. I want to ring them both tomorrow??!!
    Many thanks in advance.

Not too difficult for Lufc to get that deal as she works for Orange??? Did you need to ring up or could you not have done it whilst at work.. esp as you work in upgrades, or am I getting confused

I called up on 0800 0792000 and spoke to sales. I wanted them to match the instore offer of 400mins, unltd texts and internet and managed to do better so I was happy!

Why are you not telling people you work for Orange.. do you not think its a little biased when telling people about the best deal you got??? Especially as you get friends and family discount do you not?

Thats excluding any staff discounts on there. I just called as a regular customer wanting a new contract.

The deal lufcgirl got was excluding any staff discount, so it is irrelevant that she works for them, as she works in a different department.

I dont work for Orange but got the same deal as lufcgirl. The fact she works for Orange is not important other then she spends a lot of her own time here trying to help. All I did was call the sales deprt and say that I had seen a better deal (which I had here:)). The web/sales team already offer a £5.00 discount on the shop tariffs. So to get a extra £5.00pm of the tariff is not to hard. If you ring one sales person and they dont want to play ball then call back and try again.

How did you get that deal, online?

Going off this thread I am tempted to move to Orange from O2, as they seem to do good offers.

I just dont fancy an Orange branded phone though - on the physical phone or the phone software.
