Colours
If had a look through the spreadsheet and the following are the days when I think there is a colour missing. I could be wrong as I don't know all the recipes but hopefully won't be far off!! I'm assuming that chickpeas count as yellow? They could be white I guess and I'd need to recalculate. I'm also assuming that we're not talking a full portion needs to be consumed, but say a little in the chutney is acceptable?

* this is onion tart day, am I right in thinking it is served with chutney? If so, would cover all the colours.
Some thoughts. To get more yellow a carrot cake instead of weetabix cake would do it or a houmous sandwich. To get more green, apple curd on toast could be subbed. Red is a bit harder, but must be possible!
Is this the kind of feedback you needed Weezl? I hope it's helpfulIt's really hard to find info about the colours, except 'Eat as much variety as is possible'.
*edit* just seen you've changed some meals. I'll go see if it affects any.... What amount of calories are we going for per day?
I'm looking forward to trying some of these recipes, maybe tomorrow for cakes/biscuits, next week for meals.
In regards to lunches...is it not cheaper to just do a sandwich everyday for the family members? Or was it variety that made you choose the lunch meals you have?
Originally I was just doing a sarnie for lunch but some folk were saying they thought it was not enough for our family of 4 so I've upped it. If it turned out to be too much, Shirley could just not make the soup and save herself even more cash maybe?
Am allowing 2200cal a day for Shirley and her DD, 3000 for Bob and 2900 for DS.
Shirley and DD need smaller portions, or to avoid the cakes, and those extras do need eating up by the men.
This is not sexism it's size, weight and metabolism
Unless DD gets pregnant or shirley is secretly (perhaps due to her untoward occupation...) then these will be weight maintenance figures.
If weight loss is required, no biscuits or cakes.
Simples
