kingston 2730 - not fussed on the polyester blazers myself, I think you can buy them and sew the appropriate schools badge on - or was that just in my day!? I like the wool ones but they're pricey, I suppose you get what you pay for. Don't understand why polyester-secondary and wool- grammar?? I agree with Ex-spendaholic , it'll be a pleasure to see my child kitted out in a wool blazer grammar school uniform ,- then I'll start wingeing about the price of it all!!
Ps Been into any chemists recently?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:shhh: Uniform watch!0 -

kingston_2730 wrote: »On a funnier note, another thing about Larne Grammar is that their blazers are polyester and not wool like the others...ick!!!!! :rotfl:I work in the community and the last while I have found myself looking at school children passing by to see what their uniforms are like. I even stopped into Gordon's in Carrick to check out the different uniforms...hope this makes some of you laugh...yes I am very sad, but harmless really!!! :rotfl:
It's probably me missing something! - Gordons is one in a chain of Chemists..is it not??0 -

Bonno, you're a scream, thinking I was hanging out at the chemist just to see the kids go past in their uniforms!! No thats not what I do, I just wait outside the local grammar schools to see them all coming out in their uniforms :rotfl::T This has brightened up what was otherwise a rather dreary day for me so thankyou Bonno for that0

Hi Bonno, any idea what it is they are going to publish? I just hope its something meaningful ie.breakdown of number of pupils who wrote the test per geographical region0 -
Wonder why they are waiting until end of April? Surely they know all they need to know now? Also, it's a bit late telling everyone that their area had low/high scores when all the places have already been applied for and allocated. I just hope everyone stuck to their guns and appied to schools in order of preference and not in the order they thought they might have a chance of getting into because this year has been so confusing who knows what way it will turn out and what scores schools may go down to??0

Hi Kingston, I don't think we are ever going to find out our raw scores or the standardised table that was used, so it will probably be a breakdown of scores and number or percentage of children on a each mark - more than likely it will be in small groups. Not sure about areas? All I know is the highest score was 128, @450 children acheived over 120, a few children scored full marks on 1 test but not on 2 and that the average of these tests (100) was a very high average.
It's very disappointing at this stage not to know more, and there is absolutely nothing we can do except............ wait........................0
