Hi Kingston, how on earth did you manage to get all this info? Are you saying only 450 children scored 120 or above, that doesn't seem that many. I'm beginning to think my little girl might get her first choice after all. Thanks for the info. I will rest a bit easier now. Please tell me you are 100% sure about this news??0

Yes, this info is correct via the AQE office.
However, I do not know what info is going to be released at the end of April??0 -
Hi Kingston, I don't think we are ever going to find out our raw scores or the standardised table that was used, so it will probably be a breakdown of scores and number or percentage of children on a each mark - more than likely it will be in small groups. Not sure about areas? All I know is the highest score was 128, @450 children acheived over 120, a few children scored full marks on 1 test but not on 2 and that the average of these tests (100) was a very high average.
It's very disappointing at this stage not to know more, and there is absolutely nothing we can do except............ wait........................
At the risk of sounding completely stupid, what does 'a high average' mean?? Is an average not just an average of the overall marks? Can anyone explain this to a mathematically challenged person please?0 -
hmmmm...had a think about it there and think I was confusing mean and median. Am I correct in saying that a small number of unusally large scores could skew the average? If thats the case then our kiddies may have done better than we think :j0

Kingston, have they answered my question that relates to whether 112 or close to this figure ( one quarter of 450) of those who scored above 120, have birthdates in July, August & September.
I am unaware of any child who has scored above 120 falling in these months. Perhaps others have a different experience?
Look forward to further data ,.......0
