  • You can't apply to Victoria unless you put the percentile rank on the transfer form. You have to give candidate number and confirm name and address when you phone and then they ruffle through their papers literally and find your daughter's and then provide you with it.

As long as your offspring is female there should be know harm in enquiring - lots will have enquired who won't be applying..

:rotfl:oh dear I wish I had waited a few more minutes before ringing Victoria and would have read your post before I made an absolute !!! out of myself!!!!
  • You nutter. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I was waiting on you posting it so that I could add a mark on for ours. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • well done its nice to have a laugh
  • OMG I am a complete NUTTER! I have the phone of the hook right now in case they ring me back!! S0 so embarrassing!!!:o
  • If it helps, my daughter had 106 which ranked her 60th
  • I wish I could say it does help but I'm afraid mathematics was not one of my strong subjects so not really sure what percentile rank of 60 means. Does this mean of all the people who wrote the test your child did better than 60% of them?

Out of a 100 that sat the test, your child did better than 60 of them.

I live east antrim bordering south antrim. My son got 112 and has put ist choice BRA, 2nd choice Ballyclare High. Ballyclare Secondary which is a very school only accepting those who put it down as their 1st choice.

Hi Sniffy, do you know of many in your school applying for Belfast High first? 112 is fantastic!! Principle of BRA told me that our mark of 102 would have no problem getting into BRA and that he expects first cut off to be around 98 0r 99. Not sure what he meant by first cut off though!! My son put down BRA as third choice just due to it being so far from where we live.

Yes, I believe it does. As far as I know the AQE test was marked to 2 decimal points so another child with the same score could be a slightly different percentile (within a few marks).
