  • My ironing would need a room of its own. Not to worry the kids will soon grow out of the clothes and I can just send them to the charity shop instead. :rotfl:

lol yep ex-spendaholic that sounds about right. My ironing has been sitting so long I literally am surprised when I see items that I'd forgotten I had. Its like getting something new without having spent any money

Any one know what Sullivan will accept? Heard rumour today a child at their prep with a score of 110 was told they would not get a place in Sullivan! Worrying!!
  • Someone told me today that Sullivan are doing the first 120 places in strict rank order and then are setting up a pool of 45 or so candidates for the remaining 30 places. They are then using criteria such as free school meals, feeder primaries and postcodes in the Holywood area.

Yep, that information is in the transfer book. Anybody know what scores were like in their feeder schools? There are so many rumours it's getting beyond a joke at the minute!
  • Do they normally all their As and any B1s?

Sullivan have taken A's and very few B1's. At least in previous year when you got an A you didn't know the score but now top scores in centile 2 are A's - but will the grammar schools recognise this?
  • If you don't mind my asking what area are you in? I wish there was a competition for 'bums on seats' in our area? Unfort my son's score of 102 is on the borderline for our first choice but fairly confident he will get into one of the others. Just wish we didn't have our hearts set on the first choice. It would be great if it accepted first 3 quintiles but looking at their stats the last three years they have become more popular each year so god knows what kind of marks they'll accept this year.

Well 110 is an A so I would have thought it would definately have been enough and perhaps quite a bit lower too.

East Belfast but Holywood closer and bus provided for Sullivan at end of road. Sullivan seems to have wide range of feeder schools from North Down and also East Belfast.
