Josiejo, I've been trying to find out where I read that about the level 4 and 5 thing.
Kathryn Torney is currently not available.
Hi All, just joined tho have been reading since 6th Feb. Your friend at PACENI told us all that the old 11 plus and the AQE were set at level 6 but the new test suggested this week by our wonderfull politicians minus SF would be set at level 4 proving worthless. Not sure about GL level! Wot a mess!!!:(0 -

I actually think that it really could be an A!0 -
does anyone know much about the percentile Victoria is using .If they are taking GL and AQE , (because GL got a lot of A' )s does that mean their percentile marks are all bigger than AQE0

This is an earlier message which I posted - hope this is of some assistance:
Based on the %s scoring A, B1, etc in the GL Assessment tests, here are the grade boundaries for the AQE tests:
A - 103
B1 - 99
B2 - 95
C1 - 91
C2 - 85 (this one is only an estimation!)
I would heed these grade boundaries more than the daft ones suggested by AQE!!
What does everyone think of Tommy80s calculations? It certainly matches what one grammar school principle told me. I really want his stats to be reality.0 -

Victoria have a list from GL and AQE which relates score to percentile mark. You need to ring Victoria and get this mark if you are putting the school on your transfer form.0 -

Just wondering does this list that Victoria has, help to clarify the aqe scores in relation to old As. B1s etc...as in the chart that Tommy80 posted?0 -
yes i did ring Victoria , the percentile mark seems very low, i was wondering because there was so many a's in the Gl and they where different grading, would they mostly all be a lot higher in the percentile marking0

Victoria College - have some way of providing an equivalent percentile rank - my daughter's score of 117 gives a percentile rank of 90.
I did ask the lady at the time how this was worked out - she didn't have a clue - said they had received the scores and the percentile ranks.
For both GL and AQE their first band for consideration is a percentile rank of 60 and above.0 -
