Good Morning, £40 is a bargain, put a zero on the end of Victoria's, and a few figures. I think it is £432 a year.
Well worth every penny though. I think in England you would pay about £20,000 a year for these types of schools.:EasterBun0 -

Hi tinker bell, a better day today indeed. Such a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Very much excited about the future. First in a long time for me.
Yes £432 is the fees, or £846 which includes school dinners. They sent a direct debit form to allow us to pay it in 3 installments or 9.:D
It should be included in the letter the school sent to you. Did you get forms also to post to Victoria by the 11th June.:EasterBun0 -

Not as bad as I expected. We got everything we needed including optional hoody and fleece for £280. Originally £310 but 10% discount brought it down a little.
Only thing we forgot, is athletic shorts,
also need to get hockey stick, shin guards and tennis racket and ball,
there is a list on their website of all you need to get
So i expect to pay out another £50 or so.

Good morning all, my daughter still can't believe shes going to BHS, after we'd the talk about working hard blah blah, she is now up finishing off a school project. This new found vigour will last all of an hour I'd say, so I'm taking the good of it while I can! She is ITCHING to go out and buy the bible, rulers etc, I think I will give in and let her, nice moments like this in life always stick in your head, so I want her to remember that mother wasn't always a grumpy beast lol. Grovenors' fees are v reasonable, Ex-Spend, as Kingston says, ours is £180 but I definitely think it's worth every penny, I may not be saying that when she is prowling around full of teenage angst and saying she hates school (like I did) but lets not think about that!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:
Debt free date April 2016!!!!:eek:0 -
Just re read BHS bumpf, £100 of the fee is a 'voluntary contribution', but I doubt that theres many who don't pay it!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

Long time lurker on this thread so thought i would post. Just wanted to thank all who have contributed to this thread especially during the time between getting results and selecting school choices.
My wife and i found it a very challenging and frustrating time trying to second guess what our twin daughters results meant for them .Like others i found this thread to be possibly the only source of information with parents in a similar situation combining their collective thoughts.
So a big thank you to everyone , glad to see so many of your children getting places at good schools!:T:T:T:T
Our situation was a little different because our identical twin daughters really wanted to go to the same school. They also really wanted to go to Grosvenor where thay sat the tests. It is great school and we are local to it. I am a past pupil ( many moons ago! ) and i have had a neice and nephew recently attend and indeed excel.
One scored 98 , the other 94. After much deliberation we came to the conclusion that 98 might be good enough but maybe not 94 and didnt want to risk them getting split up against their wishes.
There was no problem with them being in different classes etc as will happen , they just wanted to try to go to the same schoool.
So after attending open nights we decided with Hunterhouse College as first choice. We were all really impressed with it and both the girls have been accepted and are delighted.
Turns out that both girls may have got into Grosvenor but we are happy with Hunterhouse and feel that they will both do well there.
At least next years Parents will have some sort of reference to work to when trying to make an informed judgement as to wether a score is good enough or not for their chosen school.
For what its worth i thought the Quintiles were misleading and definately swayed us from selecting Grosvenor. Surely a school who sometimes turn away A's wouldnt accept 3rd/4th Quintiles ?
Well i thought wrong:( But they say everything happens for a reason and i just get the feeling that my girls will do really well at Hunterhouse.
Glad their wait is over as they were getting really stressed out!
Once again , a big thank you to all on this thread. :T:TIt was reassuring in a strange sort of way to know that we were'nt the only people so stressed by the whole situation. Mrs Ruane is definately not welcome in my house:mad:0
