Vido our principal said that 104 would get a grammar school place but may not be good enough for Grosvenor. Its well I lost respect for the man a long time ago and went on my own gut feelings.
Jim, I must remember the Inst thing for Podium (even though we have no Inst connection) :rotfl:
Ballynahinch Dad, well done to your son. :T :T Saintfield High is a good school. If we had decent secondary schools in East Belfast I would never have been so worked up about things.
Right you are all convincing me to go to Warnocks now and buy a uniform. Son is away all next week though so it won't happen on Monday. Being from the East I would normally have thought of Gowdys or Littles.0 -
Anyone think uniform shops will be open on Mon with it being the bank holiday and all?0
-
I would say they will be. Most retail places are.

See we can buy the Grosvenor PE/Games kit on the 21st June at the school. Wonder how much that will come to? :eek:Regards

Well its a Canterbury tracksuit so I would say we are looking at £80ish for that. It then says this on the website:
BOYS' P E & GAMES KIT
P E
Royal blue T shirt
White shorts
White socks
Training shoes
GAMES
Grosvenor GS rugby jersey (Green, blue & white hoops)
Navy shorts
Rugby socks (Green, blue, white hoops)
Boots (rugby/or soccer)
Do they choose whether they are doing football or rugby or do the end up doing both? The PE uniform alone is going to cost 10 fortunes. :eek:0 -

No football in Grosvenor until 5th year so its either rugby or hockey. I dread to think how much it will all cost, best get purchasing before the discount runs out. Which shop is best for the Grosvenor uniform??0 -
According to the website boys uniform can be bought in Warnocks, Littles, Gowdys or Wood Stuart in Arthur Street.
I seem to remember someone telling me that the D Crawford place in Ards (and was in Belfast too) did the same blazers as everywhere else but charged a lot less.0 -

We haven't even bought a tie yet despite all the plans.
Yes I know what u mean but were are so delighted that she got into Grosvenor and 3 of her wee friends also got in so she is over the moon as we are.0 -
Its an excellent school. Maybe all our kids will meet in September and talk about their nutty mothers. :rotfl:0
