AQE Exam Results

Ohh, lets hope your'e right and our hopes aren't cruelly, cruelly dashed. What a little ray of sunshine I am, I will have to figure out how to get the forums up on my husbands blackberry, something I haven't yet managed to do for saturday morning, as I'll be dying to see and to post the news and the family computer takes ages to boot up. What plans has anyone made for that day after 'resultgate'? I feel that something nice has to be done to mark the day, whatever the outcome!

Hi, we aregoing on hol on the Sat and we have to check in around 11 am so im desp hoping that the post comes early and it is good news!!

I know!! Lol i keep thinking that my daugh should get into BRA but then i have my moments of doubt and think that it may be her second choice of Belfast Hugh school which is still an excellent school but i must admit i will be dissappointed if she doesnt get her first choice. Our P.7 barbeque thingy isn't for a few weeks yet, my daughters idea of heaven would be to go out and eat a load of trash so I think I will have to give in and let her decide where we eat that day, I can already imagine the answer, Pizza Hut most probably!

I know how you all love a bit of gossip! i heard today, and I have no idea how true it is, from a person who works for the DUP that they have had several letters from angry parents who have been contacted by the education board to submit more school choices as their kids didn't get into any of their choices. Don't understand how this could be true, if we all selected atleast four schools there couldn't be much more than that within a commuting distance really. Maybe some low scores only selected grammar schools and didn't get in???

Hi, my daug scored 112 and i only put 3 sschools down. the principle explained to me that if in the very odd chance that she wasnt accepted into any of the 3 schools then i would be contacted by Education board and asked to submit another. im guessing that is what has happened here.

thats exactly what has happened. they have had a low score and have only put grammer schools down. at the end of the day regardless of score you could put any school that you wanted down.

Just shows you, I had been told that if you only put grammars down and they weren't accepted to any of them, you were automatically allocated a place in your local high school!!!
