Absolutely nothing. This time next week we will all be ready for the funny farm. Actually I wonder why no-one else in this house seems even slightly concerned at what next Saturday may bring?
  • Yes ditto in our house too. Everytime my son sees me on the computer he comes over to see if I'm on this board and then tells me I'm obsessed. I am amazed that my husband can stay so detached from it. Last night I asked him was he even thinking about it and his reply was 'sure, nobody knows anything. Its all just a guessing game so theres no point.' Unfortunately I appear to be unable to adopt his strategy of sticking my head in the sand. I keep coming on here hoping that someone will post some really meaningful snippit of information that will enlighten us all. I live in hope. :rotfl:
  • Exspendaholic, remind me again what your 2nd and 3rd choices were (I know your first choice is Grosvenor)?

Methody and Wellington. I would be very happy with Methody. Not so happy with Wellington - not that there is anything actually wrong with it, and if he ends up there I'll live with it but I just prefer the other 2.
  • I don't think you'll have to worry about Methody or Wellington. We have a new uni graduate that just started with us and she graduated from grosvenor 4 years ago. She was telling us all about it at lunch today. She loved it (apart from the dark green bridgette jones knickers she had to wear with her hockey skirt lol)! My husband also works with a guy who is on their board of governors.
  • Well, our post didn't arrive until after 10 this morning, I will be curtain twitching from 7am THIS DAY WEEK, (arggggh) I'll probably need to lie down in a darkened room at some stage. Kingston 2730, I'm not optimistic for two reasons, firstly, I just ain't built that way and secondly, from what I've heard from my daughters primary, the majority who put down BHS as their first choice got better scores, it's as simple as that really. Two girls got 120 + and her best friend who she really would like to go to 'big' school with got 114 and they are only the high scores (of girls, never mind boys) I can remember, I think I've blocked out the rest in a vain attempt to hold on to my sanity. I do hope our kids do end up together, they can look back fondly together about the time their mothers went a wee bit funny about some 'oul school carry on.
Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:
    Debt free date April 2016!!!!

Neveranymoney, but thats only 2 scores and there are 136 places! There are going to be quite a few higher scores than our kids but I am hanging tight to the fact that if our scores are equivalent to the old B1 then based on previous three years intake we should gain a place. I have had a long discussion today with my son about his feelings on BRA and he has said that he would be over the moon if he gets into BHS and that he will be 'ok' with BRA. If he doesn't get into BHS, the main problem I will have is hearing about kids who got in with lower marks than him who had a sibling at the school. Just unfair in my opinion!
