    Utter !!!!!

They werent neglient, provided the service charged for and hence you owe them the bill for that.

If they hadnt done the work you would have actually got far less than £1050.

yes but my car was in their care and i am losing out finacially for all this crap and is causing alot off stress! i repair the car with money i save because i cannot afford to get a new one and what am i going to get with a grand?? my ka was worth alot more than that with the work that i have had done to it, i know it has been well cared for and is very reliable

1)sorry but were'nt you going to use it in scrappage to get a new one?

2)take alook at my ebay link, you will get a car that is a lot newer

    3) sorry but an 'S'reg ka is not worth more than about £700/£800

and yes while the car was in their care 'they' took good care,it was another person that caused the damage

    Im beginning to think Troll

    Clearly not love

    1) Yes it was in their care however they werent neglient in there care. They couldnt avoid the accident happening hence legally they are not liable to you for the damages beyond those insured against

    2) Irrelevent. The car wasnt roadworthy without these repairs and where required. The accident has no bearing on this. If you hadnt paid for the repairs you couldnt have used the car and it would have been worth less

    3) As shown you can purchase an equivalent car easily. Repairs and maintainance do not increase value. They are necessary. no repairs reduce value.

For example the car with the rust would be worth a fraction of the grand.

In all honesty I would snap there hands off now as 1k for a S reg Ka is exceptional for an insurer.

but you could'nt have used the scrappage scheme as you can barely afford these repairs!!

read the link carefully it states car will be sold with MOT

it may be worth more than a grand to you or if it has solid gold wheels
but come into the real world

    1) No you couldnt as beforehand it had no MOT
    2) So. there will be plenty of cars similar with an MOT and well your car didnt have an MOT before these repairs your talking about suing for
    3) In what planet? An S reg Ka is worth peanuts. Even dealers with mint examples wont be selling at much less than 2k max

Its fairly common for garages to test drive cars. To avoid people claiming they broke it and so on.

how do you know?It might have been a slip of the tongue in that they had done the welding work for the MOT(so passed) but needed to warm it up for the emmissions test, they may have had to remove suspension/steering parts to do the welding and wanted to make sure it 'felt' ok/settled down
