Morning all.
Happy Birthday Churchmouse:beer:
leopardlady and anniestar hope you feel better soon.
Sunnygirl, congratulations on your new job.:j
msd good luck at the hospital.
LW Glad you are ok. Keep posting
Pipkin Hope the energy levels improve, if they do feel free to pop round and do my ironing too:p
taplady Sorry to hear about your auntie, hope you are ok. x
How do you all remember what everyone has said so you can comment on it. I have just had to write a list and I probably still forgot some
I'm still feeling fragile today and scared to go out or even upstairs in case something happens again. I even had to get a friend to take the dog out for me.:(
I need to do a bit of cleaning today but it's difficult one handed.
Edit to say Nic1lou2, sorry about your dog, 16 is an amazing age. I remember when we got to that point someone told me you will just know when it's time. I didn't believe her but one morning I just woke up and thought today's the day. It's horrible but I know I made the right decision for him. Hope you are ok. xSealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -
Hi everyone,
Happy birthday Churchmouse.
Taplady - I'm sorry about your aunt.
AngUK - I'm so pleased about Martin.
Molly - well done on complaining, she should learn not to treat people like that!
Hester - I hope your leg is ok, I don't know if I'd have resisted the temptation to take it off them and whack them over the head!
I hope PP, Halight and Haribo are all ok, I've not seem them posting for a while.
MSD - I hope you are getting over whatever has happened.
Mum is back in surgery - apparently they attemted to leave her with as nmuch bowel as possible, unfortunately that meant that she continued to lose blood, so they now have to do an ileostomy, sorry if its TMI. I'm cross because she could do without the strain of another op,
My biopsy went well, I've been so impressed with the screening clinic, even though it's quite a trek to get there. Apparently yesterday's biopsy was likely to take out all the suspicious bits so they have put a titanium clip there in case they need to do any other treatment so that they can find the place again!!
OS wise will be cooking a very large peice of gammon (much too big for us, I would have cut it in half before freezing it but OH put it in whole so I have had to defrost it).
I'm missing DD a lot at the moment, probably because of everythig going on.
DS has a big decision to make. He's been so successful at his latest store that he's been offered another store which is failing to try and turn it round. While it would be a good opportunity it would mean an awful lot of work for him when he is at the stage in his present store of being able to relax a bit.0 -
Happy Birthday ChurchMouse! :j
Martyn continues to do well, I rang this morning he's had a good night and he'd had some breakfast. :T
It was fantastic to see him yesterday, as soon as we walked into the room we all just burst into tears. He doesn't remember anything, which is good, he can vaguely remember seeing DS on Wednesday but that's all, he was also quite shocked when he realised how long he'd been asleep. He's a bit teary and groggy but that's to be expected after what he's been through and also there's still quite a bit of medication in his body.
There's a little bit of concern about his waterworks, they asked me if he pees normally at home.He hasn't had a pee for about 13 days now but that could be because for a few days before the op he wasn't eating or drinking much and dialysis removes fluid. Plus while he's been in intensive care they've been dialysing him every day and the only fluids he's had has been by drip. I think they'll probably do a scan to see if he is making any pee but it's quite common to not pee normally when on dialysis, we'll just have to wait and see.
On Wednesday morning he was still a level 3 patient (critically ill), yesterday they put him down to level 2 and hopefully they'll be able to lower him to level 1 over the next few days and he'll be well enough to go onto the normal renal ward.
I feel a little odd today and I've got the beginnings of a migraine I think, I only get them very rarely and they're normally stress related so I'll probably have a little lie down this afternoon. I think it's just my body catching up with this last week now that things hopefully look good.
Thanks for all the love and good wishes and hugs to everyone who needs or wants one.
TapLady sorry to hear about your Aunt.Dum Spiro Spero0 -

The men of the household were feeling tired this morning after their night out at the pubto celebrate DS1s birthday.I stayed in and carried on with my crochet blanket :rotfl:When they got back they were all delving into the baking I did,so I've put some in the freezer, despite the howls of protest

If you look at the bottom of the page that has all the different forums listed on it, the birthdays are there. I often forget to check and rely on other people (or Money Saving Diva tbh!) to post it first

I need to do a bit of cleaning today but it's difficult one handed.
That's natural hunny. I'm scared of going out on my own, because of falling over. So much so, that I don't. I couldn't get back up if I did fall, so need someone with me
Try and pace yourself with the cleaning. It will still be there once your arm is out of plaster. Just do what you can
Well, we had some lovely HM chicken noodle soup and HM rolls
The girls have worked well today. We're not finished yet though, but I am taking a well deserved break
I've started preparing activities for our Chinese day and the table has been taken over with a new year display that I need to make
DDs have coloured all the flags, so I need to write the quiz answers on them and laminate.
I tested DDs on the flags of the countries we've done so far and they could recognise them, so the learning process is working along the way
Need to think about tonight's meal now. No idea what we are going to have. I really should be more firm with myself in writing meal plans because it's much simpler! There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

Afternoon, folks.
Hippo Bathday Churchmouse.
Taplady, really sorry to hear about your aunt.
Nic, I hope woofer is a little better today.
Well, the house is pretty much sparkling (although I have to stay on my toes to keep up with the arachnid construction workers) but I've found I'm not getting any of the othr jobs on my list done - things like making a surround for the light switch in the spare room (I've done all the other rooms), and making the kaftan I bought the material for ages ago, and fixing an anklet that broke many months ago. How do you all fit so much into your day? Or should I just accept that my health means I'm going to have to forego these things in order to keep the housework done?
I've done my Flylady tasks today, but I still have to do our dins (veggie Toad in the Hole today), I'm already exhausted, my knee's giving me a hard time, and I haven't even done my WiiFit+ yet. And all I want to do is lie down on the sofa and go to sleep. LOL I think I need a full body transplant!:D
Oh well, no good sitting here any longer.
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I have had seizures in the street before but people always call an ambulance and I hate that. I had just plucked up the courage to go out again now I'm back to square one:(
I've got the kids helping with the cleaning, not sure how long it will last though!
My weetabix cake came out well and tastes lovely so I'm not a total failure.
Can I ask you why you home school your kids? I've never spoken to anyone who has done it before and I'm a nosey cow:o:rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0
