Diva - good luck at the hospital x glad there's improvement in Tris and Michelle x

nmlc - well done on your amazing weight loss! :Thope you soon shift that next pound!

    Happy Birthday Churchie:bdaycake:

anguk - hope Martyn continues to improve x

Had a lie in today as had a bit of a restless night. 2 nights in a row my car alarm has gone off in the early hours:mad: for no apparent reason. Then I couldn't get back to sleep as I had a lot on my mind.

:(My auntie has sadly passed away this morning, it is very sad as she's only in her 60s and her first grandchild was born just before Christmas and she never got to spend any time with him as she was too poorly. I have a lot of happy memeories of her as we spent many a holiday with my auntie and uncle as children.
Taplord still in bed as he too had a restless night.
I'm walking into town soon to pick his pigeon magazine up so he's got something to read.I've also got him a few light jobs to do so he feels useful - nothing too strenuous.
Food today is from the storecupboard. We're doing ok so far and havent spent any money on food at all in the last week.:TNot sure what we're having for dinner yet but lunch is cheese and ham sandwiches fo DH using up the last of the ham and veggie soup and crackers for me. DS2 is away until tomorrow stopping at a friends.
The WM is on and there's a tiny bit of ironing to do later. I'm also popping up to Mums later for a chat with her and my sister.

off for a quick browse now before I go out.

    back later x
    Do what you love :happyhear

Anguk hope Martyn continues to improve please do keep us posted.

Just a quick post from me as I am at work at the mo. Am very, very tired as I have been up most of the night. My dog was quite ill during the night, sick and her back legs kept going from under her so we were up and down with her. She is 16 now and a grand slow old lady but seems to be going down hill now and I know we have a decision to be made soon. The thing is how do you decide????? She was like this a few months ago but then seemed to rally round and has been plodding along very happily until last night. We are going to monitor her over the next day or so.

((((Hugs)))) to all the poorlies out there. I hope you all have a good day

    x

Edited to say sorry to hear your news Taplady (((Hugs)))

    Morning all!

Happy birthday Churchmouse! Have a fabulous day xx

Glorious sunny day here, woke up early as the light was shining right on my face! Had already been woken up in the night by oh - not a la Hester though, we saw Ninja Assassins last night at the cinema and I think he was reliving it scene by scene! Anyway despite lack of sleep I feel rather cheery and perky today, long may it last!

OS stuff today will be cleaning the sitting room carpet and poss the dining room one too, got my new Bissell delivered yesterday, many thanks for the info and recommendations, it's brought the hallway carpet up a treat, looks "all bright" according to dd1! Kitchen needs a S&S and Mount Washmore has not yet vanished! Most other stuff was done yesterday evening before I went to the cinema, had a mad hour flying around! If only I felt the urge to do that more often lol!

NPM - there are so many cookbooks that keep popping up on Amazon that I'm struggling to resist! I went into the cheapo bookshop the other day and bought 3 cookbooks reduced to 1.99 each (sorry poundsign not working!), and then when I was in town with dd1 I got a Mary Berry Aga Cookbook for 1.99, haven't got an aga, but the recipes look good!

Lunches: soup and hm rolls and fruit

Dinner: not sure yet! Was meant to be taking kids to their dad's tonight, but as usual he's too busy, so will be having them from tomorrow lunchtime to Sunday lunchtime! Sigh!

Going to have an Illy and a catch up now xx

    Hello,
Many thanks for all of your supportive comments. Im feeling very off and my back is very sore. I have had a response from Lakeland and they are dealing with my complaint. Whilst they did not directly employ the courier they chose the company and have an influential relationship with them so need to deal with it. Im still really shocked by it as it felt like an assault and was so unexpected. My cleaner recognised the courier and said she was a very loud and difficult woman.

Anyway I have spent this morning reading Hester's blog and i have to say its really interesting to read and has made me laugh and cry. I need to get moving as Im still in my PJS.

I have DD at home today. She went to college yesterday and got stuck on a bus for 4 hours as there was a bad road accident. She has the virus my other kids have had this week so is feeling sorry for herself. My DS2 has been in trouble at school. Im upset and so are his teachers as he is not working to the best of his ability. So I have implemented a regime and he is having his xbox removed until we see an improvement.

Well OS - not much to be honest. I have the washing on the go and tea is organised. Im in a dilemma regarding a party im supposed to go to tomorrow. I cant walk very well at the moment and feel really sore. Also there will be people there who have not seen me for ages and they will be shocked at how much i have changed. I cant cope with it to be honest. They wont miss me at the party. Got to tell my friend that I am not going!

Hope everyone has a good day x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning peeps

horrible and wet here, the houndies and i went for our usual walk, there wern`t many people out this morning as the rain has been quite heavy so we were all soaked when we got back. The doggie towels are on a rinse in the washing machine so i`ll put them on the rads shortly. I always used to do a full wash with them but after a couple of trials found out that two rinses and a spin bring them up sparkling clean when i put them in straight away so very :money: as the washing machine hardly uses any electricity to do this, the most juice is used on a wash as it has to heat the water then.

Happy Birthday Churchmouse :bdaycake:have a wonderful day!

Taplady - So sorry to hear about your Aunt.

JackieO - Enjoy your history class

Angeuk - Fantastic news about your DH :T

I`ve an enormous dish of peeled veggies and some stewing steak to turn into a beef stew to last the next couple of days and i can`t decide whether to put it in the pressure cooker now before i go to work or leave it until later and shove it in the slowcooker overnight, hmm decisions decisions :D

I`ve already done all the dusting and hoovering today and am well in front with all my little jobs so i shall hop in the shower shortly and then have a bit more time online.

I`m really chuffed as i`ve managed to end my 12 month rolling contract with BT, i only started it in December but the changes to the times which come into force in April will leave me at a disadvantage, i found lots of help on the home phones board as there is a thread about it over there.

I`ve also just signed up to 18185 for daytime calls and done a test call to Mum and its all worked fine and i was charged just 5p to talk to her for quite a while so thats just perfect :D still with BT for the line rental and free weekend calls so i`ve now got the best of both worlds :D

Just waiting to hear from sky now  i filled in the cancellation form online a few days ago and recieved an emailled acknowledgement but its still not been cancelled. Bloomin useless!

Think i`m going to have a slice of toast before my shower so i`ll toddle off and check back later.

    Have a good day peeps.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Thank you all so much for my birthday greetings :D
The day has certainly begun well........ nice long soak in the bath ( yep I did come out a bit shrivelled and prune-like :rotfl::o). I had such lovely gifts, a huge bottle of Chanel No 5, DVDs, books, computer game, Hotel Chocolat boozy choccies, flowers have just been delivered :j I'm very lucky :D OS? What's that? I have absolutely no intention to have any acquaintance with it at all today ;)

Taplady, sorry to hear about your aunt. It's sad that she didn't get time with her new grandson, but at least she had the joy of knowing she had one. ((((hugs))) to all.

Enjoy your day everyone, say it quietly but I think the sun is peeping through:D
