Morning all
Very wet here this morning. Woke up with the alarm turned it off and went back to sleep and didn't wake up until 7am, so now had to rush around to get kids up and breakfast etc, but have now managed to get sorted.
Went to the scales yesterday and have lost another 1lb so was more than happy with that so total lost is now 2 stone 13lb, think this 1lb will be hard work to get rid of!! Had a very productive day yesterday and worked my socks off - that's the reason I overslept I think, I did a deep clean of the main bathroom and got on my hands and knees with a scrubbing brush to do the floor, it looks so much better now! Got the housework done upstairs and changed the beds and most of the bedding has already been washed, dried and put away. Cleared out some cupboards, had 2 bags of rubbish for the tip and found some more space once rubbish had been got rid of. Am really getting to grips with the de-clutter, so will now do the dining room and lounge - we seem to accrue piles of papers etc - some shredding on the cards me thinks!! Will definitely sort the coat rack in the porch and the storage cupboard in there today, so that will be much tidier. Will also tackle Mount Ironing and need to get some baking/cooking done - put the last of the HM treats into lunchboxes for today - at least that's better than last week - there was hardly anything left by Wednesday - but told everyone that once it's gone, it's gone (they were being little piggies though!!).
Am going into town this morning to the bank and building society - then to do food shopping - deep joy! Scrubbed the kitchen floor last night and already it looks a mess again with dirty food prints!!
Am looking forward to my night out tonight even though it's just a candle party - am going with a friend so will be able to have a chat and good catch up.
Must get off now, have a good day and weekend.
Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Just a 'flying' visit this morning as I'm at Heathrow about to get on a flight to New York for a few days' work.
Shall see you all in a few days (or maybe late tonight if I can get online).
Might go for a bike ride around Central Park and also have a friend doing a "set" at The Broadway Comedy Club (http://www.broadwaycomedyclub.com/) tonight so will stop by and see him. Should be fun.
Looks like they're expecting snow though, so hope things don't get too disrupted.
Ciao, all x
Hello:wave:
Nice to see you here. I haven't caught up with yesterday's thread, but will do so now.

Morning all
Haven't got much energy this morning, so it's been a slow one.
I'm hoping to get into the kitchen with the girls at some point today though, so we can do some cooking. I fancy soup for lunch, with rolls, so they can help with that. Then of course, they want twink's famous hobnobs, so can pitch in to help make them
There's a bit of an ironing pile going on, so if I have any energy to spare, it will go on tackling that [or it might get used up on mse]
Good luck at the hospital today MSD. Glad to hear your friends are improving - even if it will be a slow recovery.
(((HUGS))) to those in need.

Morning all............((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
anguk: I am so glad that there is good news from the hospital and hope that the improvement continues and he is home with you soon.
BBBBBBBBBBBBbRRRRRRRRRRRRR its chilly here this morning. With the cottage being empty for the months when it was snowy it is taking tome to warm up the stone, it should ne better in a couple of weeks..........we are having a problem with wet wood just now, we are having to dry it on the grill on top of the wood burner, I also think the chimney needs sweeping; thats going to be interesting, there is an angle on the pipe as it goes through and up the chimney, rather a sharp bend at that. I ordered 2 bags of coal yesterday to give it a good burn up, should not really call it a wood burner its a multifuel stove, I found the ratchet yesterday to riddle the ash bed with......
Out this morning, need to sign on with the new Dr. post GDS' card, he is 15 on Sunday........where did the time go????? Then we are off for some retail therapy.
This afternoon it will be more unpacking of boxes.......and try and get the table into the sewing room and it sort of straight, then we can move the book case into the sitting room and the books can go away, also need to put my quilting books away and get stuff up onto shelves. Fabric is going to have to stay in the crates for now.......... I am hoping that by Sunday we will have the table up so we can sit down at the table to eat. I will miss the big dining kitchen, but you cannot have everything you want, nothing is perfect.
Right offsy for now, may be back later................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Good morning!!
Churchmouse have a very happy birthday!
Anguk great news about your hubby!! Here's to his continued progress :T
Molly hope you are feeling better after that awful courier - she sounded like a horrible woman! Sending big (((hugs))) your way.
All good here, was a busy little bee last night and had the WM going all evening to start making inroads into the huge washing pile, froze some fruit that was never going to be eaten in our house as it was about to go on the turn and boiled, mashed and froze a few potatoes that we had left over from the weekly shopping
Then I made a Nappy Cake for my niece who is having her baby shower this weekend: was my first attempt and I think it actually turned out OK.
Tonight I'm off out with the girls for dinner and wine (an early birthday celebration:D), OH has been left with instructions on what to do for dinner and what to do with any leftovers - we shall see how he goes! Hopefully I'll have some self-control over my drinking () as have to be up early to do the weekly fruit and veg shop tomorrow.....
Hope everybody has a great Friday! x

Morning gang, Hope this finds everybody well and happy. Didn't manage to get online last night as himself was doing "grown up" stuff as the school system crashed yesterday.
A very quick one(will be back to bore you all properly later):rotfl:
But HAD to say happy birthday ChurchMouse:bdaycake::bdaycake: have a lovely day.
Today will consist of more tidying and general sorting. I am also going to do a plan of action to enable me to finally get this tip sorted.(not good enough in any way to be a fly lady more of a maggot lady I think!)
Also, being inspired by Marie am going to work on a sentence to reply to her(don't hold your breath! )
Then have a few phone calls to make.
My sinuses seem to be infected as they are burning and I had a spectuclar nose bleed (managed to bleed on Ruperts head as he was having a cuddle at the time!)
Tea last night was suprisingly ok. I had loads of tomatoes and some basil that was looking pretty tired so made some pesto(am still working through my stash of pine nuts I got from Mr T's on sell by at 18p a bag:j) So we had pesto roasted tomato and sauce I left a few whole ant it worked well.
Anyway, have a great day. Will post later. Hugs to everybody and extra hugs to those who could do with a extra squeeze.
Am off for coffee. Take care.

Good Morning all and Happy Birthday to Churchmouse. Well the weather is improving slightly at last and its quite mild at the moment but the forecast is a bit gloomy next week with more frosts again.
My two DDs took me out to dinner last night and it was lovely to have the pair of them together with me with no children,OH's ect around.Although I adore both of my son-in-laws and the tribe it was still nice just to have a couple of hours with my two. I still don't know whats being planned yet and won't find out until Sunday.
i have a lymphatic drain massage on my arm at lunchtime and will get my new sleeve from my therapist, so I am hoping that it will give me more mobility in my right arm. Then this afternoon I have a history class ,but this one is the 'fun' class that we all go to as there are about a dozen or so history nuts and we share a passion for the subject and we get to choose who what or where in History to study ever week. This week we are doing the two Russian 'Ivans' so it should be interesting. I have HM veggie soup followed by a tuna and sweetcorn nsalad for dinner tonight as I want to use some bits up in the fridge.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.I'm off to do a bit more work on my Irish famine essay for Uni on Monday.
Cheers chums

Good morning guys,
another busy week at chez Smoky and I am just enjoying the peace and quiet of a day off and a child free house for a few hours. :j I am shattered today so the plan is for me to potter and do the basics and play with my pennies book and not much elseI have been a good girl this week and done the ironing daily so Mt Everest will not be awaiting it's usual visit this weekend but I will be having a window and nets day tomorrow and chasing down cobwebs.
Tea tonight will be a pasta tuna bake with garlic bread and I plan to chill later on with a glass or two of vino and catch up with this week's Silent Witness. :T:TChurchmouse. I hope you have a lovely day. xxx
Pen-pin - how are you hun?
Anguk - I hope Martyn continues to improve. xxx
