One other point - include your mum/aunt/granny as they should reduce it by around 10%

Have you used the links above for confused and in/sp?Here is a good start.
I can't actually say who can be cheaper for you as I am 42 and I am get quotes of £281+.I did find that if you went to https://www.autodirect.co.uk (ideally
through a cashback website like https://www.quidco.com or you could use the other links on MSE,they will email you to revise the quote. My was £420 revised to £281 after I spoke to them. This includes the lot like green card, protected NCD
unltd w/s courtesy car,legal,£200max excess etc.Ok it may not be the cheapest as yet but it's a start.Check out the advise given by Martin on insurances.I hope it helps and don't forget to use the cashback websites. You will need to register and login to get the cashback if you decide to purchase.
Watch out they will hike up your excess to improve your quote.Keep searching
unless your on £50 per hour and you don't mind paying through the roof
  • i have just got my 1st insurance and went with tescos after weeks of research.

Definately go to confused.com first to get an idea of what prices you could get. Then go to the best few insurance companies websites, and get further quotes. Try it with just yourself, then add your mum on as a named driver, then try with you and your dad, then you, and your mum and dad. You might find that it makes quite a difference.
  • cheapest i found (21 yr old female with 1lr micra)
was endsleigh (after speaking to them on phone)
    at £715 for 12 months

when i used confused all the quotes were around at least £250 over what i ended up paying. that was with me filling in all details including registration.
