Nice, decent, honest people just talking about.... stuff. Stuff that's important to them. Stuff that's interesting to others.
This thread is nice and I look forward to my next (but I don't get online every day, so it might be a few days away and I might not keep up with what's going on).
But either way, thanks. And a special thanks to (the unusually quiet) Pip for the invite.
Ok Anguk I'm so pleased :T but if you tell anybody about the support you received from a bunch of user names on a money saving site during this awful time...they are gonna think you're nuts
but please stay. So please everything is progressing well!
OK its not often I get to gloat but I need you to use your imagination a little.....all of our lot live in a 3 bed semi piled in on top each other without the space to swing an anorexic field mouse......so here I am at Mums...with just DD in a 4 bed detached with room for a pony....;) (I need the music from the M & S Ad playing here please..) Clean white sheets, big bag of M & S Crisps, Large bottle of M & S Italian Red..trashy magazine dd fast asleep in another room ...... heaven looks ALOT like this
Here's hoping for more days with good news

Stay away from DT - it's toxic - I've wasted precious hours on that board that I will never get back :rotfl: I have a nose every now and again and then decide I can't be arsed with the p*ssing contests that go on there
Glad you enjoyed the thread - please feel free to come back anytime soon
Skimmed thread as getting late and I need sleep.
Big :T to Ang and Martyn - so glad to see he's no longer considered critical xx
Sandy - sorry you've been in hospital - hope you're OK now xx
Molly - hope your back feels better soon. You could try icing it with some frozen peas for 15 mins every hour or so - see if that helps with any inflammation.
Right only came on here to look up some ideas for planning for mindee so had better go before midnight rolls around

Ooh, who are you playing? Have you got tickets for any of the Six Nations matches? We're going to the Calcutta Cup next month :j
It was Ospreys V Leeds and The Ospreys won 21-17 :j It was absolutely freezing there though! And the ref was awful! I have tickets for Wales v Italy
I'm hoping to go to Biaritz to for the Heiniken Cup quarter final but it depends on cost.
anguk - that's great news!!! Hope your OH continues to improve.
I'm so tired now I'm heading straight for bed.

Evening all! I've just managed to get here before Thursday becomes Friday!
Anguk - glad to hear you've had some positive news. Fingers crossed Martyn continues to improve.
I've had a strange day today. I was up at 7 for a snowy drive to work for a college course I'm doing. The heating was off so it was freezing....If I'd have known that I could have taken my wooly blanket in!!! I then went to visit my friend who has a 2 week old baby boy and had a lovely cuddle!
I'm on nights tonight and will have been up over 24hrs by the time I go to bed so I spent the afternoon on the sofa watching tv and trying to have a nap, only managed about 30mins though! I'm glad I'm days off from tomorrow.
Didn't get anything OS done although have used a few things up from the freezer and cupboards today.
Take care everyone.0 -
Hi all, only glanced in. Just wanted to say Congrats to Anguk!

Evening everyone , oh my I am soooo shattered tonight, this falling asleep on the sofa and then waking up and being wide awake at silly o'clock really does not do me any good ! Have been out to the cinema with DD tonight, our local independent cinema , and saw an odd film called Bunny and the Bull, apparently I dozed off a couple of times, how embarassing eh ?! It was nice to go out with DD though , she has been having a bit of a rough time lately so it did her good.
Had quite a busy day with work and MSing , got everything done though so quite pleased with myself, just got to finish the reports now . However I was a bit naughty today ..... ran out of time to make a packed lunch to take out with me so had to buy lunch , then impulse spent in Waitrose (had to buy something to get my car park ticket stamped as I had to park in their car park) , they are bits I can use for baing but were very indulgent ... and I also treated myself to a hot chocolate in Thorntons Cafe so I could use their loo ! Am annoyed with myself for being soooo weak today!
MSD - love the new smilie , its fab !
N9eav - we ordered the Sky movies via Virgin for the Christmas period but didnt cancel as the month ended, I have done so this week though as I found them a total waste of money too.
Hester - that sounds like madness at your workplace about the paper. So so sorry to hear about the umbrella incident ... hope you are OK and that the child concerned gets delat with appropriately....
nmlc - wow sounds like you will have had a busy day , hope you got the weight loss you hoped for.
Sunnygirl - lucky mum having a nice daughter to help with the chores, naughty dad though for not pulling his weight ! Good luck with the job application , that sounds a really nice little job, thats good though that you have the course to fall back on if not.
redruby - we are on the south coast , dont think we are going to get much more snow, not that we had much anyway ! Ooo your chicken fried rice sounded lovely.
Bitsy - oh pooryou with a troubled night with your kiddies ... it must be VERY tough going for you. Gammon and mash sounded like a nice something different for breakfast ! Well done for resisting picking at it .
pipkin - so pleased to hear that your throat is well on its way to getting better. Thats lovely to hear that you homeschool your children, I kind of wish I had done the same with DD, had I of known much about it sooner ..... she had some trouble with bullying in year 7 then moved onto a new school for year 8 and we started have troubles with attendance ,she developed a kind of school phobia and some other social anxiety issues along with some depression .... she was placed into a small teaching unit for children with similar problems but lately she has found that difficult too, however today she did go into school!
She only has till JUne now so we are hoping to just get her through these last few months and build up her confidence to go to college as she really wants to study animal care and ultimately become some type of animal behaviourist . I know at 16 she is not a little kid anymore but I was really proud of her today, and she came home with a delicious chilli for tea that she had made in food tech.
Japanese lessons sound absolutely FAB , DD is quite into Japanese culture, fashion, art, etc . I hope the Chinese day is fun too .
Molly41 - sorry to hear you had such an awful start to the day with that horrid woman , how can people be soooooo downright rude ??? Hope your back is OK.
nic1lou2 - well done on the knitting , clever you !
Sunnyday - thats good to get a decent nights sleep. I was excited to read about you getting your pots ready for sowing into , I really must get more organised soon so that I can make a good and early start this year. Thank you ever so much about the info for the dog food, especially the extras you put in , I know mine would absolutely love it and will have to make a batch or two soon for them.
beemuzed - glad your '10 minute day' plans went well, what a good idea. Yay at the first signs of spring !
missamoo - Hi ! I am new here too , well done on such a great start to the day with getting all that housework done. Oh no about the puking tho, hope you got it sorted in the end and that DS is OK.
JAckieO - good luck with getting your essay worked on , what a lovely friend you have , she got sooo much done - how fab . Hope you had a lovely time out tonight and that you have a great time on Sunday too , oh and happy birthday for then as well.
Leopardlady - sorry to hear youve been feeling unwell. Well done with the meal planning .
taplady - hope you and DH get some news soon on his health , it must be very worrying for you both.
candygirl - hope you feel better soon, have a fab time seeing Chicago, am very jealous !
anguk - I am so so so so pleased to hear that there is some good improvement with Martyn, absolutely brilliant , heres hoping that he soon goes from strength to strength. Just read on to see that hes now eating icecream and is going to be moved to a regular ward , wow how fabby fantastic !

Well it's ages since I last posted

Done a fair bit of OS today, baking, HW, crafting. Thought of "doing a N9eave" then thought better of it :rotfl:We're actually into my birthday ( so I wondered whether to post a Happy Birthday, Churchmouse start to a Daily)
Anyway, so pleased to hear of Martyn's progress anguk :j:j That must be better than you dared hope. I"ll keep everything crossed that he'll be well enough to come home soon.
DGS2 is still a cause for concern ( although his physchologist seems pretty confident  ) but I have to say he IS very affectionate.:D He told me tonight that he loved me *this much* ( outstretched arms ) He knows the Nanny buttons to press :rotfl:I really expect him to be diagnosed autistic. Inside I realise it's just a label, but it's still a worry
:o He's still the most beautiful child ever
:D:D NPM and Bitsy will know where I'm coming from
Did a bit of gardening today. The snowdrops are on the point of opening, and the daffs and tulips are really pushing their way through :T Hasn't this winter been long? I so want to see the sun, and this from someone who never ever sits in the sun. :rotfl:
Night, night all xYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

I told you the posters on this board were lovely
I miss when I don't post and appreciate the support when things aren't great when I am posting.
I also hope that a few words of genuine warmth from myself to others in need helps them in some way, as it does me.
