I hope you're talking about the puddings and not planning on doing weird things with small dogs.... ?!

:rotfl::D thanks that made me laugh! definitely the pudding variety!

DH has gone for his xrays now. The doc is mystified as his blood results are clear so no infection or arthritis so she's arranging an emergency appointment with a joint specialist and has signed him off for 2 more weeks. He's worried sick firstly about money and also about what might actually be wrong. Its a good job I've picked a lot of tips up from you nice people on how to manage on not very much:T

Good news everyone, they've removed Martyn's ventilator and he's talking! :j

DS saw him yesterday afternoon and they'd reduced his sedation but he was still on ventilation so couldn't talk. He did recognise DS and had a cry and he seemed aware of everything that was going on. We had to ring back at 8pm for blood results and the nurse said they'd been able to remove the ventilator and DS could hear Martyn in the backgound asking for the phone! :T

We've rang this morning and he's had a good night, DS could hear him in the background. They told us they've been on the end of his humour and he's been flattering them which sounds just like my Martyn. :D

I can't even begin to describe how the last week has been, we had almost 5 days of nothing happening but slight adjustments in medication then all of a sudden yesterday he went from sedation, life support & ventilator to being off sedation & the ventilator and talking, all in the space of about 6 hours!

Obviously he's still quite ill, there's still bugs in his blood from the burst appendix (we still don't know how long it had been burst) and we still have to take each hour/day as it comes but it's lovely to actually have some good news. We're going in this evening and I can't wait to see him. :o

    Thanks again for your support.

    Afternoon.

I've been busy baking a birthday cake for DS1s 30th.Nothing fancy,Victoria sponge, then I decided to do some flapjacks and choc cupcakes so I can use my cakestand at teatime :) I got some of the pastel shades silicon cup cases from Asd@ so they look quite pretty and teapartyish, then its off to the pub for them later.30 years- blimey, although it does seem a while ago now,it doesn't seem as long ago as 30 years sounds IYSWIM.He's taken himself and his birthday money off to the Trafford centre to get something to wear for his big night out on Sat.That means I've got the house to myself :D

Ironing for me after lunch, just had a sandwich with the brisket I cooked yesterday.I'm going to slice it with the electric slicer in a mo,save some for tea tomorrow, and freeze the rest.Steak tonight at Birthday boys request, with pepper sauce.

Not heard anything from the estate agent yet, mind you I thought at the time that it would prob be too big for a young couple, you cant tell that the bedrooms are all biggish from the photos. We are talking about changing agents-though they are very nice when you speak to them, they are not the best at giving you feedback, plus it might be handy to get it re-valued.

Taplady- the jeans I got from Pr!mark this week are actually 'jeggings'.I was in there looking when a lady older than me said they were really comfy and she was living in them at the moment, which persuaded me- and they are! Because they are made from stretch denim, they are a bit thicker than some others I've seen,so conceal my bumps a bit better ;),but like you I wear them with a longer top (wouldn't like my stomach showing ) Hope DH starts to feel better soon.
Molly- hope you are feeling a bit less shaken now. at the courier.

Halight- not seen you for a bit, hope you are all ok.
Nice to see you post Salopman.

I think I'd better go & test one of the choc cup cakes-quality control, you understand.Hope everyone has a good day.x

    big hugs to all...

i am at the vile place thay keep my paycheck, but i am feeling good, as tomorrow is my last day here, and on Monday i will sart a job that will hopefully be great fun... (i know loads of the people there, and it has to beat being sat in a cell - i mean office by myself all day.) it will involve a pay cut, but i'd rather be skinter than miserable...

i am still doing well and bringing luches to work with me, and i have a load of susages to cook for tea tonight, so i feel a casserole coming on.

i will also have to sort the washing, do a tiny bit of ironing, as well as hoover through.... my brother will be over os Saturday to pick up some of his stuff that i have been storing, and hie GF has a habit of noticing the fluff that is marching down my stairs... ;)

    HUGS to all. :):):)
