Weekend was fantastic, hotel was great 4 star not even open a year so very pleased with the deal we got and i used quidco so a little cashback to come.
Friends were great had a fantastic night although not as young as I used to be and cant cope with 13 hours drinking ended up on coffee by 11pm. Travelled home this afternoon and now just cant wait for bedtime, best of all spent very little and didnt need to draw any extra cash out so pleased with that.
Also sold 2 books on amazon this weekend with £20 profit ebay is not doing so well things finishing soon and so far 1 x 99p bid.
I have the day off tomorrow to do the shop for a dress for said wedding we are now going to , I did try some on yesterday while out with DH and one I fell in love with until I read the tag £185 DH was going to buy it in his usual style but said I wanted to look around just cant justify that sort of money hope I can find something which is just as good and flattering but more in budget.
Off to catch up with everyone elses weekend.

Delighted you had a good weekend.

Look for the same dress on Ebay, you might get a pleasant surprise! (I have found several 'wedding' dresses' on there at a much better price)

And you did fantasically well staying in budget. I have to say I found it so much easier to do when I took money out of bank and knew in my head what I had as opposed to several (old me) trips to bank machine

Have a lovely day off tomorrow!

great that you've found what you're looking for and at bargain prices
  • Hi, Finally caught up on the last few weeks - wow, you are doing really well. Watch how that debt is dropping, you are doing so well to keep so motivated. And how proud are you of your ds, an A*, how fantastic. Don't know about you, but I get more worked up than the the kids when they get results. Mind you we still have GCSE's to come.
Interesting to hear you talking about debt free date and your son at uni. My main reason for sorting my debts is to be clear before my eldest start uni (although will still have a couple of years on the mortgage!) I really want to be able to help out as much as possible - don't want them to have to start their working lives with an horrendous debt.
Proud to be dealing with my debts,

I know what you mean about the huge debt before you start your first job, we have been taking recently and if we could clear our mortgage or at least most of it before DS starts Uni we could maybe buy a small property for him to live in with friends rather than throw money at someone elses mortgage paying rent.
Small payment to Lloyds today £30 of amazon money sent just waiting for new staement to update hopefully at 9pm tonight then I will be back to moan about charges.
I was playing around yesterday and if I can move at least one debt to 0% i think we have a chance of being cc debt free by december 2011 so that is my new target. That works out at 16 more paydays its going to be tough and could even fail but im going to give it my best shot.
After my long weekend and a day shopping I am feeling dead on my feet today looks like ebay will have to wait another day
